RELEASE OF MICHAEL JACKSON’S “THIS IS IT” HAS ALREADY BEEN EXTENDED FOR THREE MORE WEEKS

We KNEW that Sony would drop their “two weeks only” release of Michael Jackson’s “This Is It,” but we didn’t think it would happen so FAST. The movie, which was released Tuesday to great reviews, was number one at the box office, earning 32.5 million, but Sony had been hoping for 40 million. Sony immediately extended the release for three more weeks so you still have plenty of time to catch the movie at your local cineplex. Apparently the film wipes out any negative memories viewers had of Michael’s “idiosyncrasies” and they walk out lamenting the loss of his talent. Have YOU seen it yet?

  1. It has been extended? Of course it has – Jermaine and Joe haven’t leeched enough money out of it yet.

  2. Say what you want, remove the hype, the money being made, the motives, everything, Michael Jacson is pure genius. If you don’t see this film ont he big screen, you are missing a lifetime opportunity. All the footage you saw over and over of MJ after his death, the Larry King footage, the same snips here and there – you will now see those clips in a completely different light, you will see a vibrant, hard working entertainer. Absolutely unbelievable.

  3. WELL DUH. OF COURSE IT IS GOING TO BE EXTENDED. MICHAEL JACKSON IS ONLY GOING TO DIE ONCE AND SO THEY ARE GOING TO MILK THIS FILM FOR EVERY CENT THEY POSSIBLY CAN.
