Robert Blake – alone as usual- he’s in the habit of taking a newspaper to lunch. (No more Russian girlfriends?) You can just imagine people whispering as he walks by “There’s the guy who murdered his wife and got away with it.” Just think- at one time he was a movie star and a top TV star in “Baretta” – in those days he had fans galore. Now he eats alone.

As an actor, I really liked him.

The angry young man grew into an equally bitter and angry senior citizen. Robert Blake truly had a miserable upbringing. It would be easy to speculate what one might or might not do had they walked in his shoes. I don’t think many would be alive and the others would be in incarcerated (just as he was).

By the way, he has a son (Noah) that looks a lot like him. I can’t help but wonder what traits he may or may not of inherited.

I guess they don’t think of anything because he killed his own so it was all good. The same with shatner but since OJ son killed a white woman then he is really evil.

Does anyone know what happened to the little girl he had with his deceased ex?

I think this guy runs in the same circles as that Cohen( I think that was her name) agent lady that was murdered about a year ago. The lady that was shot in the chest while she was driving. The infamous Hollywood Mafia. Scary, deep, dark stuff!!

The little girl is named Rosie, and she lives w/ Blake’s grown daughter. We ALL know that Blake killed his last wife – a gifted grifter who finally met her match. She didn’t realize that she was playing with a very, very damaged man who would have no conscience about doing her in. Tragic for so many people, all around.

How this guy (or any of them) got away with murder is such a mystery to me. I’m beginning to think that potential jurors should pre-qualify by having their IQ checked.

  17. By georgie

It’s not just the juries here in So Cal that pander to celebs, all of the cops (LA County Sheriffs are the worst) do also. A lot of businesses dump on their regular customers to cater to celebs as well. My husband & I were in a trendy restaurant a while back & some of the kartrashians came in, without a reservation & got seated immediately. Then the maitre’d told a couple they would have to wait a couple of hours for a table. It was their anniversary and they had reserved their table weeks in advance. They were very upset, so we gave them our table, & went elsewhere, but this kinda crap goes on all the time here. When my husband retires, we’re outta here. (btw, the kartrashians knew they bumped the couple from their table–they didn’t give a sh*t needless to say. I can’t stand these new celebs, the “reality” stars. They are horrible, arrogant people. I knew many of the old time Hollywood stars and many baby boomer celebs (actors & rock stars) that would never have done that to other people.)

Another woman hater who is allowed to get away with his crimes against a woman because he is a celebrity and has money to buy his way out. If we lived in a society that valued and truly respected women these things wouldnt happen instead violence against women is at epidemic levels as evidenced by the vile things said on here by other women haters like Strom, Hello, and Patrick. They are pathetic and the same types that have committed all the school/public shootings. If women or african americans were always the ones out doing school shootings it would be covered non-stop in the news but when males do its never discussed. Blake is a vile piece of work as are all these other so called men who hate themselves so much their only joy in life is victimizing others to try and boost their shallow male egos.

The previous post was a bit edgy and also seemed to be heading gayly down the PC road. Amazing claims of hating women, terribly inaccurate. Check out the looney g/f of Blake and you will see she had a long history. Just as the jury found MJ & OJ not guilty, so did they for RB. Spector, on the other hand was convicted.

If Oj is a 10 on the “fiend meter” Blake is only a 2. He’s guilty but there were mitigating circumstances. He did not physically abuse the grifter and killed her quickly and painlessly.

Oh, and Hilary OWNS this thread.

Her analysis was spot on; Bonnie Lee had previously tried to get her hooks into Christian Brando (Marlon’s now deceased son) before Blake strayed into her net.

In addition to that, she left a trail of sketchy stories behind her when she headed to Hollywood.

Even some of her family members (who believed Blake was guilty and wanted to see him convicted) admitted that Bonnie was bad news.

  24. By strom's probation officer
    On March 3, 2012 at

Oh, Blake killed her alright and deserved to be convicted but the facts of the OJ murders and the Blake murder are distinguishable. Oj killed two people and also tortured them. He threatened and beat Nicole for years. He killed Ron for no good reason. He did not give a damn if his kids found their mothers decapitated body. Blake made it quick and did it to take his daughter away from a very bad woman. Bakely was a piece of shit… plain and simple. Oj deseved the death penaly=ty for what he did. Blake deseved imprisonment for killing another human being scumbag that she was.

well she missed a big money making opportunity to sell their daughter to a bunch of pervs so I guess he sleeps well at night.

Bonny Lee Bakley was born in Morristown, New Jersey[1] to arborist Edward J. Bakley and his wife, Marjorie Lois Bakley. Bakley had three other siblings: Margerry Lisa Bakley, Joe Bakley, and her half-brother Peter Carlyon from her mother’s second marriage. She was raised by and lived with her grandmother in Glen Gardner, NJ. Bonny lived with her mother, Marjorie at 6 Kossuth Street in Wharton, NJ during the mid 1970’s.

She dropped out of high school at age 16 and decided to go to New York City to pursue a career in modeling and acting at the Barbizon School of Modeling. She was married at 21 to her first cousin Paul Gawron and had three children with him: Glenn, Holly and Jeri.[2]

She was convicted in Little Rock, Arkansas for possessing false identifications. In 1989, she was convicted of drug possession in Memphis, Tennessee she was allegedly holding drugs for rocker Jerry Lee Lewis. Later in 1995, she was convicted of passing bad checks.

FBI records show that in 1994, while under investigation for fraud, Bakley told agents of a con her half-brother Peter Carlyon ran on a college student in California but to escape prosecution he turned on his half-sister Bonny Lee, after investigation there were no charges brought against her.[3]
    [edit] Celebrity obsession

Bonny made a living sending nude pictures of women to men with the promise of visiting them if they sent her money.

Bakley also had a history of pursuing celebrities. Her friends and relatives described her as “celebrity-obsessed”. She had an affair with rock legend Jerry Lee Lewis and claimed to have had his daughter in 1993. However, DNA tests later disproved her claim. Lewis has denied ever having a baby with Bakley. Tapes of Bakley’s phone conversations reveal that she was starstruck and bent on marrying someone famous. “I like being around celebrities,” she once said, “it makes you feel better than other people.”

Her photo business however, continued to be lucrative. Eventually she obtained enough money to buy several houses in Memphis and a house outside of Los Angeles; additionally, she was unsuccessful in her Hollywood career as a singer and actor under the stage name Lee Bonny.
In 1999, Bonnie Lee Bakley met Robert Blake at Chuck McCann’s birthday party. At the time she was seeing Christian Brando. Blake slept with Bakley and later claimed that she had assured him that she was taking birth control pills. Friends of Bakley later said that she was, rather, taking fertility pills at the time. She was soon pregnant with what would be her fourth child.

Initially, Bakley believed that Christian Brando was the father, but later told Blake she wasn’t sure, and that it might have been his. When a DNA test determined that it was Blake, not Brando, that was the father of Bakley’s youngest child, Blake agreed to marry her. It was his second marriage, and her tenth. Although they were married, Bakley lived in a small guest house beside her husband’s house in the Studio City area of the San Fernando Valley. It is rumored that Blake only married her to eventually get custody of their child, whom Blake wanted his childless daughter to raise.

On May 4, 2001 Blake took Bakley to an Italian dinner at Vitello’s Restaurant on Tujunga Avenue in Studio City. Afterward, Bakley was killed by a gunshot to the head while sitting in the car, which was parked on a side street around the corner from the restaurant. Blake claimed that he had returned to the restaurant to collect a gun which he had left there, and was not present when the shooting occurred. That gun had not fired the fatal shots.

She was buried at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California.

Robert Blake, with his tendency towards a direct honesty about himself and his upbringing, as well as his reputation for being very over-the-top angry at times ( typical defensive mechanism that abused children learn and carry into adulthood, but not proof of being a murderer ), was the perfect patsy for any of the potentially THOUSANDS of people that Bonnie burned. This is a woman who made ‘friends’ with people and then stole their identities and cleaned out their bank accounts. She also married and twisted up the minds of many men who would write their own children out of their wills and make her the sole beneficiary. And people say Blake is a good actor! Well, Bonnie wasn’t acting. She was EXACTLY who she was…a liar, pure and simple. Not to mention she attempted to prostitute her own daughter, Holly, who was 13 at the time to a foreign college student. She taught her brother how to grift people and he even pretended to be a woman too. Blake could mention all this, and more, but he doesn’t and never has. THAT, kids, takes an immense amount of self-restraint. Be careful about buying into an actor’s ‘reputation’ as the sole definition of who they are as human beings because a helluva lot of that is just publicity. Blake was NOWHERE NEAR the criminal that Bonnie and nearly every member of her family were. And can we be civilized here and abandon the term ‘white trash’? It’s overused and nearly meaningless, especially given the economy we’re all trying to survive in. Because someone is ‘poor’ and also ‘white’ does not mean they are ‘trash’. Bonnie wasn’t poor, not by any stretch of the imagination. And her family went after Blake’s money, never once mentioning any charity cause they planned on donating to. LOL Yeah, right. Nor do they mention all the real estate Bonnie ‘earned’ by stealing it from the hard work of others. She even went after a retired cop and got his dough.

Robert Blake is one of the finest actors America has seen. Remember, he was pre-Brando and didn’t need Adler to learn how to act. And being an actor is a career, just like a carpenter. It’s something you learn to do to make a living. It doesn’t mean that you’re fooling everyone 24hrs a day and faking your feelings every second. It is NOT conning. Bonnie was a con. Blake is an actor. Intelligent people can understand the difference.

Let’s remember that however imperfect our court system is in this country, it is one of the best and we should abide by the decisions that a jury of peers makes on a case. People who sit with the case and hear ALL of the evidence, unlike those of us outside the courtroom primarily depending on the often corrupt media. Like it or not, OJ and Blake were found Not Guilty. There is no option of ‘innocent’ so don’t fall for the ‘…well he wasn’t proclaimed innocent’. It’s either Guilty or Not Guilty. That’s it.

It is high time to let Blake get on with his life without being hounded incessantly about this. Personally, I think the man has an incredible story to tell and could help a lot of people if he’d stop getting attacked, bullied, and waylayed by every dark suspicious thought that is tossed at him. I’m sure he could still play a variety of roles and be astounding in. He’s also probably mellowed a lot. The immense stress of a public trial…who of you could handle it in virtual isolation for years on end? This is on top of his doing everything he can to overcome his abusive childhod and be a productive actor. He’s never claimed to be a superior intellect nor the man with all the answers. He’s a guy who grew up in an extremely competitive vocation and a world populated by very famous people ( Bogart, Garfield, Monroe, etc etc etc the list literally goes on and on ).

Not even Blake would say, with everything he did know about Bonnie, that she ‘deserved’ to be murdered. And asking him who he thinks did it? Seriously? That’s an absurd question to ask. Don’t you think if he knew for sure that he would’ve handed that info over to the cops right away? Speaking of the LA cops…anyone care to recall that Detective Ito, the cop in charge of the investigation on Blake, was dragging a writer around with him to the crime scenes and introducing the writer as another detective, allowing the writer to hear testimony BEFORE it got to court AND allowed the writer to handle evidence? Why? Because this writer was writing a book for and about Ito ‘investigating’ the famous Blake. Now, if you think that’s ethical then maybe it’s not Blake’s innocence you should be concerned about, but your own moral compass being a bit off whack.

And btw, though Christian Brando had an alibi for his whereabouts the night Bonnie was murdered…remember that he also was the only one in the list of people in Blake’s trial who actually HAD MURDERED before. Christian did something like around 5 years in jail for murdering his sisters boyfriend. That sure was brushed under the carpet awful quick.

Blake’s theory is probably the closest to the truth…his marriage to Bonnie Lee was publically announced, maybe someone had already been stalking her and seen it, they figured out where Blake lived, followed the two of them around for a bit and then made a decision to kill her. Every aspect of it makes Robert Blake the perfect fall guy to go down for her death.

The DA prosecuting Blake had a near 99% win rate in her convictions. She failed with Blakes case. I’m sorry, but if she and the LAPD couldn’t find the evidence after FOUR YEARS, then there wasn’t any against Blake and the verdict is true:

As for OJ, I don’t believe he killed those two. Usually, in domestic violence the abuser kills in a ‘crime of passion’ style. Nicole got a bad Columbian necktie, so to speak. Well, she was in to some drug dealers and hadn’t paid up. Simpson had a past of being explosive. Instant patsy. Those kinds of drug dealers, at those levels of money, do NOT take kindly to being shorted and only give so many chances before they take the humiliation personally. Her head was nearly seperated from her body. Most domestic crimes are choking, physical assault ( numerous punches and the last punch is the death blow ), repetitive stab wounds, and the occasional gun. These stats are available to anyone truly interested in finding out.

Blake had never, not once, been charged with domestic violence in his entire life. Yes, his 20 year marriage to Sondra Kerr was tumultuous at times – what lengthy relationship isn’t on occasion? – but he never spent one night in jail or anger management court.

I believe Blake is totally innnocent. Regardless of what I believe, my country’s courts have found him Not Guilty. That’s enough for me to let the man be to live his life and love his family and make a living without being abused by the public. I do not believe Bonnie’s family has ever told everything they know nor have they been, and have a gander at their bios’, the truth.

I hope Mr.Blake doesn’t read this stuff, but if he does…good luck Sir and don’t let the sometimes jaded members of an anonymous public get you down. We’re not all merciless, critical, and assumptive and some of us remember and respect your work.

I cried during the interview with Dr. Phil, for a man that was unwanted as a baby and now only wants to be with his baby, Rosie. Hs is tough on the outside but a softy on the inside. It is common sense that if you were wealthy and wanted to murder your wife, she would just disappear, never to be heard from again. You certainly wouldn’t want to be there, to be implicated. She had many enemies, how much money did she get just from her 10 husbands?

Bakley was a whore who had 10 ex husbands and used men for money and sex. The world is full of females just like her and personally if blake killed her or whoever did kill her they did the world a favor.
