ROBERT DENIRO NEEDS THOSE EXTRA INCHES

Must be hard for observers to keep a straight face when Robert DeNiro films The Irishman wearing these high platforms. DeNiro’s character in the Scorsese film, is Frank “The Irishman“ Sheehan, the labor union mobster who killed the corrupt Teamsters Union President Jimmy Hoffa. Sheehan was 6’4” and towered over Hoffa, played by 5’7” Al Pacino. Martin Scorsese had a wardrobe of Tom Cruise style height enhancing footwear built for DeNiro.

  1. I think Pacino has always fudged an inch or two about his true height. He looks more like five feet three or four inches in person.

  2. ………Was frequently referred to as “that midget Pacino” by producers of The Godfather (1972) who did not want him for the role of Michael Corleone.
