SACHA BARON COHEN AND ISLA FISHER: THE HOUSE THAT BORAT BUILT

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher finally got married in March, so it’s high time they moved into their Hollywood dream house. Sacha and Isla and their little girl Olive, 2, have been living in a home close to the street and they could hear the tourist busses stopping outside. That, and the fact that Isla is expecting another baby around the new year, caused them to buy this English country style house in the Hollywood Hills for over fifteen million dollars. It has seven bedrooms and baths and a detached movie theater. “Borat” and “Bruno” may be history, but they made a LOT of money for Cohen, who is now filming a family–mystery, “Hugo Cabret” directed by Martin Scorcese.

  1. His best role yet was with Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I just loved them both in that and the whole movie was terrific! One of the best!

  2. This guy needs massive reinvention or his career is over.

  3. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
    …….A JOKE?

  4. Janet, get your architectural styles straight. That red-tile roof is NOT English country.

  5. should have bought a house under 10 million. in his old age, he won’t be able to afford it. DUMMY.

  6. Seriously?, HaHaHaHaHa…A “masculine Jerry Seinfeld”, not a “more masculine Jerry Seinfeld”…HaHaHaHa!

He DOES look like an ugly Jewish lesbian, doesn’t he???

  7. tittles, ha ha, yeah, a house like this is going to require big bucks to keep it up. Maybe Isla will have to take in laundry and babysit kids.

  8. Wow, $15M seems like a lot of dough in this economy. Hope Sacha Baron Cohen will be able to keep it up. I *hated* Borat — mean spirited at the expense of a lot of well-meaning people. And Bruno tanked at the box office. I just think he’s a one-trick pony whose talent rode out of the ring a long time ago.

  9. He is really a stupid looking jerk and that’s cuz he is one.

  10. Reta is right – he was wonderful in Sweeney Todd and I loved that movie so much!!! I also thought Borat was hilarious, but didn’t bother with Bruno. Its like eating too much ice cream, it gives you a tummy ache. I can’t take too much of his over-the-top characters, but when he acts in decent roles, he’s very good. I also like that Letterman made him appear on his show as HIMSELF and not as his silly Bruno character. Dave doesn’t like shit like that…

  11. “English Country style”????
There is absolutely NOTHING English Country about this! You really shouldn’t be commenting on real estate, Janet, when you obviously don’t know the first thing about it.

By the time the children go from front to back part of the house they are going to be ready for bed.
