In case you were wondering “Whatever happened to Shannen Doherty?” you need to wonder no more – the original Beverly Hills 90210 star is pursuing a college degree! Or so she says in this commercial for Education Connection. Presumably she was so successful as a young actress that she had to put her education on hold, although what she plans to do with a “liberal arts” degree is unknown. (Do employers take online degrees seriously, anyway?)

She is one actress that has had opportunity upon opportunity and her bad antics and attitude would screw everything up. She started out as a good and decent hardworking little girl in the 70’s and young teenager in the 80’s. 90- 94? with 90210 and some tv movies….
She could have done so much more if she hadn’t felt the need to be a perpetual partying teenager into her 30’s and 40’s with a big nasty “tude”.
Still, glad to see she is working and making a buck.
The more relevant question is, “do employers (i.e. casting directors) take Shannon Doherty seriously?”
J-Man, I don’t think there would be too many singing her praises. Perhaps, there is someone from her past that remembers what a great job she use to do.
everything depends on the school and if they are accredited. Some are even more demanding and have higher standerds for things such as what gpa you need to make the dean’s list.
ALSO – never use a FOR-profit school. They are diploma mills.
St. Leo is a wonderful, not for profit Uni (fully accredited) which offers some degree programs online.

Hopefully she is serious about it and interested in learning. I think it’s likely you may see a Kardashian doing the same thing and it being tweeted (for profit) regularly. She is being paid for the commercial like Sally Struthers was for all the online courses she promoted for pay.
