Overbearing Sharon Osbourne was incredibly outspoken on The Talk today and it reminded us about how sometimes the pushiest and loudest person in the room is the least knowledgeable. First she recklessly stirred up racial tensions by voicing a hasty opinion on the Trayvon Martin case, while lacking even a basic knowledge of the facts. After that she berated a mother who documented her obese 7 year old’s weight loss in a magazine article – declaring the mom “humiliated “ the unnamed child. Keep in mind, Sharon Osbourne is a woman who raised two overweight, undereducated children who were both in rehab multiple times before the age of 21. Her children have struggled with their weight all their adult lives. We wish Sharon would stop considering herself an expert on all subjects.

She actually raised 3 children but I think Aimee is busy pretending she doesn’t belong to that family. Kelly and Jack were the only two we saw on the show. I don’t think any of the 3 finished school and yes, all three were (are) overweight.
Sharon Osbourne struggled with HER WEIGHT TOO. Didn’t she have weight loss surgery?
Yes Walt, she sure did. Not to mention other surgeries as well. You can prob google pics of her in her heavier days. She had no problem putting her overweight kids on tv, so why should the mom she is bashing take any heat from her?
Carrying a pomeranian doesn’t cover up a weight issue effectively–Sharon needs to be carrying a doberman puppy instead.

I watched the same show but apparently heard something entirely different.
I heard Sharon defend a little girl who’s mother decided it was apropriate to write an article in “Vogue” magazine about her 7 year old daughters struggle with weight. Well I don’t know about anyone reading this, but I don’t think there SHOULD even be a struggle between a mother and a 7 year old daughter! I mean really, a struggle? She’s 7, and to document it in “Vogue”, come on!! Sounds like humiliation to me!! Shit for brains, that’s what that mother is!
As far as the Trayvon Martin segment well, the truth will come out eventually. It is a fact that a 17 year old was shot 3 times though.
Muffie, You are the first person I have heard say he was shot 3 times. All news reports have said it was one shot.
As for the case of the overweight child, it is ALWAYS the fault of the parents, who do all the shopping, food preparation, and supervision. A 7 year old is hardly responsible for any of that and the parents have to excercise parental control and common sense in fueling their children for their future successes.

Yeah Reta, I’m not real familiar with all the deets of the case. Sarah Gilbert did say the accused shot him once in self defense and then he shot him 2 more times just for good measure. I’m just repeating what I heard on “The Talk”.

What is astounding to me is: if this were a black person shooting a black person would it be news? White man shooting another white man? Probably not! Just goes to show that racIsm IS alive & thriving!! Sad, but soooo very true!
I think the shooter is actually Hispanic, but I guess that’s close enough to white to call it a white man shooting a black man. I sure would like to hear the entire story, and all the facts, before passing judgment on either one of the people involved.
The whole problem with the case it’s people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton the biggest poverty pimps and race hustlers going inflaming their brand of hate. Two weeks ago, 41 people were shot in a weekend in Chicago 11 of them died including a 6 year black girl. Jackson and Sharpton didn’t say a word because most of the shooters were black and it doesn’t get the same headlines if a black man kills another black man or a child.
Wow, Hilary, that article is something else! I hate to say it, but because it was a young black man who was killed, the media wants to canonize him without revealing the REST of the story. Why is that?

I’m going to say this, Osborne is not stirring up racial tensions.
This country was founded on racial inequity.
Racial inequity is the cause of the “tensions” you speak of, not a comment made by some random person on a TV show no one watches.
You want racial tensions to just like, go away?
Stop killing unarmed black CHILDREN because “they like, look totally scary” wearing clothes every other kid in this country wears.

I am sorry, but I don’t have to know “the rest of the story” to know that Trayvon was stalked by this “wanna be” safety volunteer. The dispatcher told him to back off and he did not. If someone was following me at close quarters and I felt MY safety was at question I would have tried to turn the tables on the stalker too. That man was harassing Trayvon whether he realizes it or not. He put himself in the situation and should face the consequences. He killed someone AND he set the stage, not the kid.

Premeditated murder can be decided in seconds and that’s exactly what happened here. This man MURDERED this boy who was completely unarmed and held only candy and a soda for protection!
