5_25_starjones.jpgSo what if she got fired from The View? Now Star Jones Reynolds is free to pursue her dream of becoming a MOVIE STAR! You might not remember, but Star made a guest appearance on the Lifetime series Strong Medicine a few years back and she was DEVOURED by the acting bug. Star figured if Oprah can act, she could too. Sadly, her boss Barbara Walters doused her acting aspirations – pointing out that Star could “lose credibility as a TV journalist and legal expert.” And that was THAT. Star had to put her passion to act on the back burner. After her huge weight loss the idea of acting became even more plausible, but Ms Walters always stood in her say. Now she’s FREE to give Hollywood a try, and we bet hubby Al is already packing his bags for Beverly Hills.

Wouldn’t it be fun to have Star live down the street? She did recently sell her condo in the east.

I found her incredibly annoying on the View – especially with details surrounding her wedding. But I will say she looks AMAZING since losing all of the weight, and I don’t care how she did it. That’s her business. And I feel sorry for her with the way she seems to have been pushed out of her seat on that lame show. I saw the clip on the web today and it was shameful the way Barbara stammered of her “farewell” and I jst think that no matter how annoying Star may have been at times, she deserved more and better than what she got. NINE YEARS! She gave them 9 years. And bringing Rosie on? Puh-lease. That woman lost her shot years ago. I don’t think she’s going to do anything wondrous for the ratings.

Uh, Cameron and Justin were photographed together two days ago, I guess they’re not broken up as previously reported.

I’m not a big fan of Star either but she did shoot herself in the foot.
I agree with the above post on how she gave them 9years and they could have shown her more respect.
Not interested in seeing Rosie shout down anyone who won’t go along with her view on things.
I think they made a mistake picking her and people will soon grow very tired of her just like they did her show.

I thought The View was about hearing different points of views…Yes Star was annoying at times, like when she became a Bridezilla but the View could have handle it better and private…Those were the days that all the ladies where inviting people and using the services.
I don’t know what happen between BW and SJ but it was obvious by the body language that something was up. I’m glad Star went out her way: classy, dignified and heartfelt. I didn’t agree with all her arguments but I respected her intelligence and opinion.

Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead!
Now the show can get back on track. Thye should have fired Star back in the Fall of 2005 like they wanted to, however BW stuck up for her. I have a friend who works at the ABC offices and it is going around that Star tried to upstage Charlie Gibson and his going away that made the network heads not to happy. This was suppose to be CG day not Star Jones day.

Thank God the people at ABC finally came to their senses. This woman is more than annoying, and I gave up watching the show quite a while ago because of her. Her “donated” wedding was classless. She fawned over Bill & Hillary Clinton adnauseam. And I look forward to someone who is less self-absorbed taking her place.

Wow, people think Star Jones Reynolds is Classy? She sold her wedding day to advertisers. Her entire house is gaudy, filled with animal prints and gold leaf. (You can see it on the web since it is for sale.) She is hardly leaving with class and grace by going on Larry King tonight and blabbing to People magazine. It is amazing what passes for class in today society.

Now they should get rid of Elisabeth. She is the weak link of the show never has anything of value to add to the show or conversations. I thought Patricia Heaton would have been a nice addition though.

I never liked Star on The View but I think the best thing for her career was to quit. The fact that The View is bringing in Rosie will make the ratings fall like snow on Christmas morning in New England! Rosie is just plan awful. Just my .02 cents.

I was all ready to feel sorry for Star but she did as has been mentioned upstage Charlie Gibsons good-bye tour… I disliked Star from the beginning never liked her, but she was treated badly and if she was obnoxious during her wedding you can’t just blame her.. She should have been stopped and when she was stopped it was too late. Barbra Walter’s parting shot at Star was lowdown, this practically ruins Star’s chances of getting a decent gig.

Star does need to find her own solo vehicle. I’m not a fan of hers but she certainly brought some entertainment to The View. I wouldn’t watch Rosie O’Dummy for all the money in the world. Ever since she went off on Tom Selleck because he’s a member of the NRA while he was there too promote his movie I absolutely hated her. She proved her arrogance and self-centered behavior with her magazine and all the cruel remarks she made about her employees. Especially the woman with cancer. Patricia Heaton would be a nice addition in a talkshow forum. Elisabeth has to go, just because she was on Survivor doesn’t mean she needed to be on that show. With all of the people who tried out for that seat they choose her. What idiots.

BRING ON ROSIE! It’s been too long since she was on tv on a daily basis, making it fun and interesting. I adore her and the fact that she is who she is and makes no apologies. Rock on, Rosie! I’ll be watching!

it is SSSOOOOOO good to see Star go! that woman is nothing but a walking advetisement to the materialistic consumption that can be found in society. she sold herself off to get a free wedding that unlike many she COULD afford. she got surgery for her obesity but yet she still wont admit it, she must think that we are all stupid! she is always talking about herself and her husband (whose sexuality has been questioned) as if they are the only people on earth. As for Elisabeth, they NEED to kick her out too! she is so DAMN boring! she looks like a dope and gives all these “i’m hurt” faces when they make fun of republicans. hey if she believes in their cause speak up girl! i’m not a republican but even i can talk more to their agenda than this dope. i can’t believe they ever chose her over rachel who seemed a lot smarter and likeable. these two make me hate the show and i can hardly wait till BOTH of them are gone. one down one to go.

Rosie’s okay – although, I also despised how she treated Tom Selleck. Even that was based on ignorance. Wasn’t that the deal where she was endorsing Wal-Mart and they sell guns or bullets? Not very bright. More importantly, horrible way to treat a guest.
That said, I don’t think Rosie O’Donnell’s talents are designed for a group setting; the dynamics are going to backfire. Patricia Heaton would have been a great choice.
And Star has the biggest ego in Hollywood, so she’ll find work through someone. Some crazy project…

Barbara Walters can say all she wants, but the most they were going to do is “lie” and let Star say she got a new show somewhere.
Rosie is okay in small doses, but she’s not good at sharing with others. The stage, the guests, the chance to yap away. She may get bounced after 3 or 4 months.
She screwed everyone at her magazine just because she wanted to bring in some wacky ideas. Like she’s above all corporate input. Hey, friend if you want to reach America, you have to cooperate with people along the way.
    Unless you’re Bill Gates. LOL

Barbara put herself in the mixed…Barbara tried to save Star…give me a break. Liz Smith wrote in her Page Six column that BW hated Star for years and she wanted her gone. Star believed the hype and is a DIVA but ABC/the exes and BW exploxted Star for rating so they’re just as bad.
What BW did was to lie to her audience and show us what type of person she truly is. A backstabber, a liar, a phony and a witch.

Oh, I was kidding about the Katie Couric job going to Star. It would be absurd and fun, though. She’s eccentric and wants to be Top prom queen, BUT I do agree with the person above. Star used the show, but they used all these things in return.
Too bad Whoopi’s doing the morning show for Clear Channel. She could have been an interesting black woman replacement.

Has nobody thought of the obvious incompatability between Joy Behar and Rosie O’Donnell? –both big-mouthed, ball-busting comediennes. By the way, I think Rosie O’Donnell is an angry, jealous, self-hating bitch and she does not play well with others. A look at her online journal and “poetry” also reveals her to be stupid and disgustingly self-absorbed. Bitch thinks she is writing poetry . . The balance of the show has been destroyed and it will sink very quickly. They don’t have anyone with the intelligence and good taste of Meredith Viera, who has moved to the big leagues. So it goes.

As if Star would ever make in the movies. First of all, she’s old, ugly, and untalented. Second of all, doesn’t most of Hollywood hate her after her obnoxious behaviour at the Oscars two years ago?
Maybe she’ll be able to get a job as a salesgirl at Payless Shoe Source.

Wow. I am in shock that Stah actually has fans. Well, good for ya’ll. I never really thought one way or the other about her until she was so mean to my gal Kathy Griffin.
Patricia Heaton? Why in the world would we want her on the view? She is beyond smug in every interview I’ve seen her. Ugh. I’m interested in seeing Rosie mix it up, in a train wreck sort of way. I think they need a Latina! Like Gloria Estefan or someone…

    Going, going, gone!
Star, we can’t miss you if you don’t GO AWAY! I’m surprised she lasted this long. As, a long-time View watcher, I had grown weary of her sanctimonius diva behavior of the last 2 years. Now she acts as if she is the wounded party, when in fact ABC and Walters gave her a chance to save face and leave quietly. Right now she is playing the victim card in a carefully orchestrated way, but I think most potential employers have seen the true Star and will want no part of working with her. I hope I never have to see that shrew on my television again.

Star is playing the victim card! Nobody knows the victim card like Barbara Walters…she’s an idiot and I hope she’ll retire.
What ABC/Barbara Walter did by revealing Stars performance profile to the public on Larry King was an offense. There are Labor laws in this country that every employer has to follow and the Dumbasses at ABC did was to violate them big time.
I’m a HR rep for my company and the tactics ABC/Barbara Walters did was a violation of Star Jones Reynolds rights. I hope see sue their asses off, BIG TIME.

It was nobody’s business if she had surgery to lose weight. Maybe she kept quiet cause she didn’t want half of fat america to do the same thing and die in the process. Did anyone think of that? Anyway, big mistake replacing her with mean bull dyke Rosie. The ratings will go down to the ground.

I’m so glad Starr is off the view. Can’t stand her. She is also very prejudices. And she says she hadn’t had gastric bypass,,,sure Starr…why all the secrects about your weight loss, but yet write a boring book about how to love your man. Your book put many to sleep, and only bought it to see if you admitted to your weight loss surgery. So you didn’t want to help people by telling them how you lost weight but wanted to share your loving a man…yuck..Glad she’s off the view…

Oh thank heavens Star is gone….she was just too much! I had to stop watching until she left. Now Miss Goodie 2-Shoes Elizabeth needs to be the next one to get the boot. She is SO dumb I want to scream and just SO sweet!!! Is that the best BW could come up with? Now it will be interesting to see how Rosie will last….me, I love her and think she keeps things interesting for a change. And of course who does not like Joy?? She is great and that’s my thoughts…good or bad.

She feels good about herself and her life has changed and she has good throw so much and no one really understands and She was fat and know she is thin and she is healthy and she was married and know she is single and she has no children and yet she is beautiful and smart and attractive and some woman don’t want to have children..Fear they will gain weight and she could have her eggs removed and get a sperm donor and have some one carry the baby for her and If I Was Rich and alone and wanted some one to share my money with that is something I would do and Yes she has class and she would not stand up and snap on another person,…I Don’t know if that is being a Coward but I would had been calling Nene some names and yelling back at her some real hard core words and I could not and would not let some big tall woman get in my face like that and I Would had Nene sitting her butt in jail if she would had Hit me and Of course I Would give it as good as I got it…Instead of Running away? That is being a Coward.. And not addressing the issues is just being a Coward and or a person who will not talk about the problem,…I hate it when some one will not talk about issues and I don’t think much about them or start to not like them.

After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
