You might not remember, but Star made a guest appearance on the Lifetime series Strong Medicine a few years back and she was DEVOURED by the acting bug. Star figured if Oprah can act, she could too. Sadly, her boss Barbara Walters doused her acting aspirations – pointing out that Star could “lose credibility as a TV journalist and legal expert.” And that was THAT. Star had to put her passion to act on the back burner. After her huge weight loss the idea of acting became even more plausible, but Ms Walters always stood in her say. Now she’s FREE to give Hollywood a try, and we bet hubby Al is already packing his bags for Beverly Hills.
Wouldn’t it be fun to have Star live down the street? She did recently sell her condo in the east.

I found her incredibly annoying on the View – especially with details surrounding her wedding. But I will say she looks AMAZING since losing all of the weight, and I don’t care how she did it. That’s her business. And I feel sorry for her with the way she seems to have been pushed out of her seat on that lame show. I saw the clip on the web today and it was shameful the way Barbara stammered of her “farewell” and I jst think that no matter how annoying Star may have been at times, she deserved more and better than what she got. NINE YEARS! She gave them 9 years. And bringing Rosie on? Puh-lease. That woman lost her shot years ago. I don’t think she’s going to do anything wondrous for the ratings.

I thought The View was about hearing different points of views…Yes Star was annoying at times, like when she became a Bridezilla but the View could have handle it better and private…Those were the days that all the ladies where inviting people and using the services.
I don’t know what happen between BW and SJ but it was obvious by the body language that something was up. I’m glad Star went out her way: classy, dignified and heartfelt. I didn’t agree with all her arguments but I respected her intelligence and opinion.
although Star annoys me to death, I would rather eat dirt than watch or hear Rosie blather her agenda….whatever it is.

Now the show can get back on track. Thye should have fired Star back in the Fall of 2005 like they wanted to, however BW stuck up for her. I have a friend who works at the ABC offices and it is going around that Star tried to upstage Charlie Gibson and his going away that made the network heads not to happy. This was suppose to be CG day not Star Jones day.
Thank God the people at ABC finally came to their senses. This woman is more than annoying, and I gave up watching the show quite a while ago because of her. Her “donated” wedding was classless. She fawned over Bill & Hillary Clinton adnauseam. And I look forward to someone who is less self-absorbed taking her place.
Wow, people think Star Jones Reynolds is Classy? She sold her wedding day to advertisers. Her entire house is gaudy, filled with animal prints and gold leaf. I never liked Star on The View but I think the best thing for her career was to quit. The fact that The View is bringing in Rosie will make the ratings fall like snow on Christmas morning in New England! Rosie is just plan awful. Just my .02 cents.

I was all ready to feel sorry for Star but she did as has been mentioned upstage Charlie Gibsons good-bye tour… I disliked Star from the beginning never liked her, but she was treated badly and if she was obnoxious during her wedding you can’t just blame her.. She should have been stopped and when she was stopped it was too late. Barbra Walter’s parting shot at Star was lowdown, this practically ruins Star’s chances of getting a decent gig.
Star does need to find her own solo vehicle. I’m not a fan of hers but she certainly brought some entertainment to The View. I wouldn’t watch Rosie O’Dummy for all the money in the world. Ever since she went off on Tom Selleck because he’s a member of the NRA while he was there too promote his movie I absolutely hated her. She proved her arrogance and self-centered behavior with her magazine and all the cruel remarks she made about her employees. Especially the woman with cancer. Patricia Heaton would be a nice addition in a talkshow forum. Elisabeth has to go, just because she was on Survivor doesn’t mean she needed to be on that show. With all of the people who tried out for that seat they choose her. What idiots.

it is SSSOOOOOO good to see Star go! that woman is nothing but a walking advetisement to the materialistic consumption that can be found in society. she sold herself off to get a free wedding that unlike many she COULD afford. she got surgery for her obesity but yet she still wont admit it, she must think that we are all stupid! she is always talking about herself and her husband (whose sexuality has been questioned) as if they are the only people on earth. Rosie’s okay – although, I also despised how she treated Tom Selleck. Even that was based on ignorance. Wasn’t that the deal where she was endorsing Wal-Mart and they sell guns or bullets? Not very bright. More importantly, horrible way to treat a guest.
That said, I don’t think Rosie O’Donnell’s talents are designed for a group setting; the dynamics are going to backfire. Patricia Heaton would have been a great choice.

Star, we can’t miss you if you don’t GO AWAY! I’m surprised she lasted this long. As, a long-time View watcher, I had grown weary of her sanctimonius diva behavior of the last 2 years. Now she acts as if she is the wounded party, when in fact ABC and Walters gave her a chance to save face and leave quietly. Right now she is playing the victim card in a carefully orchestrated way, but I think most potential employers have seen the true Star and will want no part of working with her. I hope I never have to see that shrew on my television again.

Oh thank heavens Star is gone….she was just too much! I had to stop watching until she left. Now Miss Goodie 2-Shoes Elizabeth needs to be the next one to get the boot. She is SO dumb I want to scream and just SO sweet!!! Is that the best BW could come up with?
