We were utterly fascinated to learn that when John Lennon died in 1980 he had become a die-hard Ronald Reagan fan! According to, Fred Seaman, who worked for Lennon as his personal assistant for the last two years of his life, revealed in a new documentary that Lennon liked to argue with left-wing radicals who reminded him of his former self. John had met Reagan once and made it clear that if he were an American he would have voted for him. According to the assistant, John had evolved into a very different person in 1979 and 80 than he was back in the 60’s when he promoted love and peace. He was almost embarrassed by his naive and youthful notions. (We have to agree with Lennon, Ronald Reagan wasn’t perfect, but he was closer to perfect than any other politician we’ve known)

Refresh my memory now, wasn’t our perfect President also married to the blow job queen of Hollywood?

Dear Janet…I’ve followed you since the mid-80s but had *no idea* you were so conservative! I’m shocked! Reagan “closer to perfect” than any other prez? Really? (He who ignored the the onset of the AIDS crisis and homosexuals altogether?) Don’t tell me you liked Dubya too. I’m saddened…

How many bright young, talented young people died because of RR and his total inaction on the HIV crisis?

How many middle class families suffered by tax cuts for his rich friends.

RR closed mental health facilities for California’s mentally I’ll and literally threw them out into the streets.

He was a union buster with air traffic controllers jeopardizing our air travel safety.

The list goes on and on. Janet, you are shameful.

Reagan was hardly “close to perfect”, but I don’t live in a fairy tale, and I don’t expect our politicians to be perfect. I do however expect them to do what’s right for the country and its people. Reagan was sadly lacking on that front.

On the other hand, I am somewhat shocked that Lennon admired Reagan.

And don’t forget, Ollie North was operating a gun running business out of the basement of the White House, using the proceeds to finance secret operations in Latin America. Reagan was a thug, immoral, liar of a president. He pretended to be something he wasn’t. Plus, he was out of it for most of his presidency, which was really run by other people. Can you say BUSH?

How’s Reagonomics working out for the economy, Janet? The current money mess has it’s roots in that failed policy
Pussy said what I said in a long ago post. But I still like Pussy.
I always tell my children at the dinner table.
I don’t believe anything anyone says about John, except Yoko. I also believe John liked a good argument and would argue both sides for the sake of provoking critical thought. If he felt like it. I also believe sometimes he just felt like being an asshole. Ask Ringo and Paul about that.

It’s pretty well known that both of them cheated and Nancy was well-known for going after Sinatra. They also followed astrology and Nancy consulted the stars and told him what to do. However, at least Ron didn’t have monthly Ramadan dinners in the White House as is occuring now, which last time I checked, that was a Muslim function. Also, when BHO makes speeches, the background is not the American Flag, but rather a gold silk curtain with Muslim writings on it. Watch his latest speech on world news and look at the curtain.

Indy, you are a FUCKING LOON. And you are that poster MamaSan. You give it away all the time with your Islam rants.

These entertainers, and that includes Ms. Charlton, tend to get all self-righteous and conservative in their later years. Due to all the mess they did when they were younger, i.e. screwing anything that moved, sniffing more coke than Escobar could keep up with the demand, etc!

I did admire the love that Nancy and Regan had for each other. They may have cheated, but you can tell that they admired and respected one another!

I saw this yesterday & showed it to my teens, who love John Lennon. They were shocked! For my lifetime, I would put Reagan as one of the worst. During his reign (& I do mean reign), the long downward slide of the middle class began, with his union busting, corporation enriching, and tax “simplification”. By the way, when he “simplified” taxes, he raised my own taxes. Before that bad law, I was able to file long form and get tax money back (I was working two jobs to put myself thru college), afterwards, I had to file short form and pay. I wish the Reagan fans would ever say specifically what it is they think is so great about him. They always just say he was great, and leave it like that.

btw, I used to party with his kids Ron & Patti in the 80’s. They loved their parents, but hated their politics, at that time anyway.

I don’t know what a Mama San is. What are you talking about. I have only gone under either my first and second name: Christine India, (or) Indy (nickname). FYI, I am not the only one on earth that believes and knows that BHO is a Muslim. Seven times on YouTube, he extols the merits of Muslims. You yourself must be a Muslim. And I am NOT in my later years. I don’t know what age Janet Charlton is. (As I should have known, mentioning politics or religion always elicits curse words from the nicest persons on earth).

John Lennon did not live to see how Ronald Reagan did not care about the poor and that if it was not for him cutting the budget for test for Aids…Millions of lives would not be in the towlet know and Reagan was a bad actor and a Creep who was a monster and blood sucking leach, Who killed many people today and know 45 million people have Aids all, Because of this blood sucking leach..Who wife spent millions on Dishes to eat on instead of Helping with passing a test for Budget for Blood Test to stop Aids getting into the Blood Supplie and killing other people who needed blood tran-plants and if you view the movie..The Band Plays on and this movie has Richard Geer and other actors but it points out that Ronald Reagan Delayed test and reseach to stop this deadly disease..Before it got out of hand and when the Bastard Reagan got shot I Remember and me and my friends party even harder and We had hoped for his ending sooner but I hate Reagan for what he did to my friends and John Lennon I Really loved your music and loved what you did with your life and I Was Sad when you died and really cried about it in 1984 but I Know you have a son Jullian and Jullian Honey when are you going to have children and keep the blood line going with your family is that girlfriend ever going to get pregnant and give you a son or daughter?

First of all this claim about Lennon is pure and total rubbish.

As for Ronald Reagan, he was just a puppet. With all the Cold War fearmongering, the Oliver North scandal etc. he is no different thhan any other Republican “Trickledowner”.

As Charlie Sheen would say “FAIL”.

My mother-in-law was head nurse at Camarillo State Hospital (mental hosp) for 25 years and was there when Reagan shut it down and threw everybody out in the streets. I still find it hard to believe that ever happened and that it was never reversed and new hospitals built with the special needs of these people in mind. The streets are teeming with them now and they are hungry, dirty, scared and confused. Some obviously worse than others, but they have nowhere safe and permanent to go thanks to dear ol Ronnie!
I can’t for half a second believe this crap about Lennon. And I can’t understand how ANYBODY admired Reagan when it was so obvious as he hemmed and hawed trying to speak that he was losing it and couldn’t pull words out of his brain. I knew he had Alzheimers while he was still in office and I thought it was so blaringly obvious. He just tilted his head and paused a long pause and put that look on his face while he hemmed and hawed and looked down at his papers. His made-up face would sparkle, and the powder on his cheeks made the apples in his cheeks so warm and friendly, so we’d believe him even more, but I wasn’t buying because I passed too many homeless, mentally ill people all the time.
That wasn’t cool Ronnie, really really not cool. I hope you’re haunted in hell by all of the ones that died on the street because of you.
Another reason Indy, that I believe the way I do. There isn’t enough punishment in all of hell for this man and the wreakage he caused.

Up above there…..that was a hateful thing to say to Indy and shows what kind of person you are. I also believe Obama is a Muslim, after spending over 5 hours on the You Tube listening to him saying how great the Muslims are and what a great religion. And yes, he (or she??) will need sunblock, because the sun will only be shining in heaven, not in hell. I think that even if Obama finally declared he was a Muslim, that even then no one would believe it. They would claim that was someone else’s voice just dubbed in.

Lennons publicist says this is all bs, that he did not admire Reagan and was not embarrassed by the words to Imagine. Its on TMZ.

Regarding the Reagan followers, I think its an emotional thing with them. They say he “won the cold war” (yeah, sure), and talk about his “morning in America” commercial, but you never get specifics.
