We never realized that the late Muammar Gaddafi was considered something of a fashion icon in the Middle East. The dictator was a closet dandy! When his body was brought to the hospital they took a sample of his hair to confirm his identity and it turned out he was wearing a toupee! He had also turned to plastic surgery to keep himself looking youthful, and had his shoe heels built up to make himself taller. But his fashions trough the years are quite entertaining. Above, he must have been going through an “Elvis” phase.

It would be even more interesting if the country of Libya were in the Middle East or was part of the Middle East but its not.
Libya is in Africa. Libya is no more a part of the Middle East than Alaska is part of Russia. While the politics under Gaddafi may appear to be similar to the military regimes of the Middle East, he was far more similar to the despot dictators that run most nations on the Continent of Africa.
Perhaps one should consult a map. Just sayin’.
That country is now going to have its Islamic fundamentalist rebirth.

When Regis Philbin announced on his show that Gaddafi was killed, immediately Kelly Ripa got a pained look on her face and said awwwww. In other words she instantly felt sorry because ****The dumb phony bitch doesn’t even know who he was***. All she cares about is the mirror telling her that she is so pretty and so rich and so better than anyone else.

A quick death was too good for him. He should have been tried and his numerous crimes against the world and his own people presented in great detail. Now he’s just another dead dictator found in a hole. Or in his case, a pipe.
Gaddaphi the rules of a Muslim country put into severe physical cause by his country men and finally buried. The dictator had made millions and died like a street dog. The oil resource and foreign exchange of Libya has gone to dogs once again. The ruler net his end due to overwhelming desire.
No one isnt saying he was a good guy but its a little ironic that he made peace with USA and Britan and paid a huge ransom to the jews who whined so long about the plane hijacking and then neither country attempts to help negotiate a better solution than overthrowal of the country by militants who may be no better or much worse. Arabs are understanding that friendship of the USA is very fleeting and changes with public opinion.
He did a lot of good for his country too:

5 Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25 percent of Libyans were literate. Today, the figure is 83 percent.
6 Should Libyans want to take up farming career, they would receive farming land, a farming house, equipments, seeds and livestock to kickstart their farms are all for free.
7 If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need, the government funds them to go abroad, for it is not only paid for, but they get a U.S.$2,300/month for accommodation and car allowance.
8 If a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidizes 50 percent of the price.
9 The price of petrol in Libya is $0.14 per liter.
10 Libya has no external debt and its reserves amounting to $150 billion are now frozen globally.
11 If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation the state would pay the average salary of the profession, as if he or she is employed, until employment is found.
12 A portion of every Libyan oil sale is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.
13 A mother who gives birth to a child receive U.S.$5,000.
14 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $0.15.
15 25 percent of Libyans have a university degree.
16 Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Manmade River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.
It is illegal to drink in Libya.

Libya was blamed for the Lockerbie plane bombing, and two Libyans suspected of organizing the incident were handed over in 1999 for trial in ‘The Hague’ under Scottish law. In 2001 one of the suspects was found guilty of killing 270 people in the bombing.
