Does anyone remember? Perhaps the FIRST reality series, Candid Camera, is returning to TV with Peter Funt hosting (he’s the son of the creator and original host, Allen Funt.) TV Land has ordered 10 episodes of the hidden camera show that will air this summer. The series started in 1948 and was such a hit that it continued in many variations for fifty years. Peter Funt says the show will strive to retain many the original comic observations of human nature.

Every sort of pranked and punked show has come from Funt’s original idea. BTW, it originally started on radio as Candid Microphone. Funt himself was supposed to be a beyond-awful boss… years later, employees found he had installed hidden cameras in offices to watch their every move.
