BRAVO! STEVE MARTIN AND ALEC BALDWIN WERE THE BEST PART OF THE OSCARS

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are the answer to Oscar’s prayers. For the first time in YEARS, the hosts were better than the glamorous participants. The two pros played off each other expertly and there were no awkward silences or embarrassing moments (except for Neil Patrick Harris.) Two hosts are definitely better than one and these two were so entertaining that we kept wishing they were onstage MORE. Again, Alec has redeemed himself.

  1. but the real hero’s are “INVISIBLE” again.
    tell me:………..FOR HOW LONG?

  2. I thought they were great…subtle, funny, didn’t embarrass themselves…good job, guys..

  3. Yes, they were great, and Billy Crystal was great when he hosted.

  4. They did the right thing, and really entertained.
    BRAVO!!!

  5. They were ok, better than the guy last year. I disagree that Alec has redeemed himself, I wouldn’t go that far.

  6. Loved Steve Martin, can’t stand Alec B.

Who told Neil Patrick Harris he could sing, he was awful.

  7. I loved alec and steve, they were awesome I loved hugh jackman last year, but nph sucked, I was expecting more from him, he shouldnt sing or dance. or at least this particular little number sucked.

  8. N-Pat’s opening number wasn’t very good. I felt embarassed for him. Who wrote that song? It was terrible. Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin did a good job but the show seemed kind of boring this time around and I’m not sure why. Maybe it was because there were just too many pictures nominated.

  9. My favorite all-time host is Billy Crystal. I always looked forward to his opening numbers made up of all the nominated movies and the clips with him in them were priceless! His super quick wit is untopable!

  10. THought they had great chemistry together !! Love Alec. Felt bad for NPH. Wasn’t his fault, the song was awful. The show lagged through the middle.

  11. I guess I must’ve been watching a different Oscars cause I thought they were terrible!

  12. They really did well in the Oscars creating a balance between formal and comical presentation. It is better that they had two hosts and I would really say that they are good together. They made the night very light and bubbly.

  13. I can’t complain one way or the other. I didn’t have 3 hours of my life to waste on these narcississssts patting themselves on the back. I did however hear that the program was not that great and that they forgot to mention some people in their ‘in memorium roll.’ Brittany Murphy, oh yeah, Bea Arthur who?? Shameful.

I wonder what the ratings were. I can’t wait for next year’s superbowl.

BTW: I am gladdd AVATAR didn’t win BP. Even those people get it right once in a while

  14. LOVED the duo – they were pitch perfect in making the show funny. NPH was like Rex Harrison in Doctor Doolittle, he was speak-singing…yuck! We did not need that number. The ratings were up 20% over last year thanks in part to the tween presenters 🙂

  15. I must be one of the few viewers who thought that the chemistry between Martin and Baldwin was awful — it was if they were just walking through their (mostly mean-spirited) lines as well. The only funny moment w/ them was when they were shown w/ their Snugglies. I wish for Billy Crystal or Whoopi Goldberg once again!!!
And re: remembering those who have passed, what, indeed, happened to Bea Arthur, and to Farrah Fawcett? Both did a lot of television, but film as well. I don’t understand how they were omitted, but Brittany Murphy was included.

  16. Them leaving out Farrah Fawcett was a crime. I didn’t realized they left out Bea Arthur too.

  17. Hey Capt ASSHOLE, since you hate Americans so much, why do you continue to read and post on an AMERICAN WEBSITE? Why don’t you crawl back under the dank moist rock you fell out of and continue jacking off to all the “faggots” you are always spotting everywhere you look! Do you EVER have ANYTHING positive to say about ANYTHING? Kinda hard to type with one hand, isn’t it?
