The first family of fashion has decided to call Los Angeles home. David and Victoria Beckham are selling their massive 24 acre estate in the UK, which is worth almost 25 million dollars, and calling their Beverly Hills house home base from now on. Their three sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5, love living in sunny LA. Accountants advised David and Victoria to sell the English estate, jokingly called “Beckingham Palace,” because the upkeep was astronomical and they were seldom there. The family will maintain a London townhouse for visits.

I agree with all of the previous comments. The Beckhams are on their way to being has-beens – Vic has been one for years, but now David’s star is fading fast – and are looking to cut costs. Living permanently in the U.S. means lower costs over-all. It also means they can be more available to a less discriminating fanbase.
Certain demographics in the States think the Beckhams are still It. Of course these are not the choice demographics, but America is a big country. Just watch: eventually David and Vic will have clothing lines at Target and Sears, and will be endorsing Dominoes pizza and breakfast cereal.
Money is still green, regardless of whence it comes.

Yup, not interested. I don’t see where they have a single thing to offer either country really, let alone an employer. Other than him looking hot mostly undressed, what is there good to say about them? And how long can he look that good? I doubt abs can keep up the house payments on that thing, just not that likely. There are too many hot men out there with great abs, it’s not like he is the only guy with a hot bod today. I think the public is sick to death of HER and her scrawny pinched figure. She doesn’t have anything interesting to say, hasn’t done anything important in her life and is nothing but a self-centered clothes hanger with acne and 3 sons. Whoever puts her out in front of their business will be doing themselves a huge disservice.
What is David going to do once his sports career is over, and his body starts to thicken (and they always do, just ask Brad Pitt)? With his Mickey Mouse voice, he is unlikely to get many speaking parts in movies or commercials.
