“The Hundred Foot Journey” is a heartwarming movie (the kind you’d expect from producers Oprah and Steven Spielberg) with gorgeous scenery in France. And food is prominently featured in a most provocative way. Helen Mirren plays the arrogant owner of a gourmet restaurant who is annoyed when an Indian restaurant opens noisily across the road. Her relationship with the new family is the basis of the plot. Handsome Manish Dayal plays the sensitive Indian chef and he is QUITE a discovery. Actually Manish is American and born in South Carolina and he is irresistible in a close-up. (Above he’s at the premier with his love interest in the movie, Charlotte Le Bon)

I am really looking forward to this. I love movies with a lot of “talking”, not cars exploding and things flying through the air.
