Hopefully, you’ve heard about “The Imitation Game” and plan to see it. Benedict Cumberbatch stars as British hero Alan Turing, a quirky genius (and closeted gay) who helped win World War II. Turing was an interesting character – as brilliant a mathematician as he was, he was also socially awkward – most likely born with undiagnosed Asperger’s Syndrome. He had great difficulty relating to other people or making friends. During the war he was recruited for a top secret mission to work on breaking the German code, and in doing so he built an early computer. This is an engrossing historical drama – and happens to be true.
