Those crazy Davies brothers, Ray and Dave, just MAY have sufficiently buried the hatchet to reunite The Kinks for a tour. It’s still a toss-up – the combative brothers haven’t appeared together since 1996. Dave says Ray is a toxic control freak and a narcissist – not to mention the fact that he’s manic-depressive. Ray has equally unflattering things to say about his brother. The band COULD have been making big bucks doing concert tours over the years, but the siblings couldn’t contain their contempt for each other. Now Dave says he needs the money – his brother wrote most of The Kinks music and gets the royalties- so he’s warming to the idea if they can agree on basic essentials. This could take time – but they’re worth waiting for.

The Low Budget encore tour I saw in 1979 is in my top all time shows. Killer sonics and energy!
Ray is diagnosed bi polar so Dave had the emotional equivelent of Mr. Toads Wild Ride over the years with him.
Can’t see the tour happening. Ray doesn’t give a shit if Dave needs money.
But I would go fer sure if it happened.
