THE OSCARS BIGGEST NOMINATION MISTAKES

savingmrbankscutLeonardo DiCaprio as Best Actor? Puhleeze! He seems to be playing the same person in every movie and never “disappears” into a role. SO over-rated.

Michael B Jordan should have been a Best Actor nominee for “Fruitvale Station. He’s NOTHING like the character he portrayed. And Fruitvale Station should have gotten a nomination too!

Saving Mr Banks (above) was one of the most entertaining and delicious movies of the year and it was all but shut OUT. A pleasure to watch. It left Tom Hanks’ other movie “Captain Phillips” in the dust.

“Blue Jasmine” was not nominated for Best Picture? Insane! Did anybody really think “Gravity” was more entertaining? Was Gravity more entertaining than “The Butler?” We think not.

American Hustle’s” hairstylist Kathrine Gordon didn’t get a nomination for the best movie hair in memory? What’s WRONG with these people?

  1. How Gravity got nominated for anything outside of visual effects is beyond me.

Is it just me or does the award season seem like a total nightmare? One after the other after the other. Surprised anyone wants to turn up by the time they get to the Oscars.

  2. DiCrapio has some great connections in the Industry. That being said he is a horrible actor. I agree he plays the same character in every movie.

  3. Tom Hanks is overrated, he has not been Oscar worthy since Castaway. Tom did a fantastic job and deserved to win an Oscar for that role.

Personally, I think Decaprio has paid his dues and deserves some type of recognition for wading through so much of hollywoods bullshit, ass kissing and successfully making it through to the other side with only a faint smell shit!

  4. Jordan Belfort is his loud Gastby who was his less crazy Howard Hugues .It’s funny to know how leo is a millionnaire party boy loving Victoria Secret model:in fact, the movie may be a documentary on Leo’s life
Gravity is a great style exercice( i’m okay with an Oscar for best director and score)
I totally agree with American Hustle’s hair scene ( the opening scene is at the glory of Bale’s hair)

    For me:
Best pic 12 years a slave
    Best director Cuaron
    Best actor Ejiofor or McConaughey
    Best actress Cate Blanchett
Best supp actor Leto or Fassbender
Best supp actress Lupita or Sally Hawkins
    Best original script Her
    Best DP Deadkins
