THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO JESSICA SIMPSON’S DOG DAISY

jessica and daisy

What REALLY happened to Jessica Simpson’s beloved Maltipoo Daisy is even more heartbreaking than the story she’s been twittering. It seems Jessica is taking a lot of undeserved flak for being an irresponsible dog owner, when in fact, she is NOT. The truth is, Daisy was in the care of Jessica’s mother Tina Simpson when Daisy was snatched by that coyote. Jessica has been protecting her mother.
Here’s how it went down:
Jessica was filming her reality show out of the country and left Daisy with her mom at Tina’s gated Encino home. On Labor Day Tina was out in the backyard with her own Maltese and Daisy when Daisy saw a squirrel and ran up the hill behind the house. A coyote suddenly appeared from behind a tree and grabbed Daisy, who was never seen again. Tina was hysterical .The family searched the neighborhood and decided not to break the news to Jessica until she returned. They didn’t want her to have a meltdown far from home. Every day Jessica would call and ask about Daisy and they’d say she was fine. Jessica returned six days later on Saturday and her tearful family was together and told Jessica that Daisy had been taken by a coyote earlier that day. Jessica collapsed. She desperately started searching and hoping Daisy might have survived. Jessica knew her mother felt awful and didn’t want her to take the blame her so she was deliberately vague about releasing the details of the tragedy. The whole family is upset about this and although Jessica is beyond heartbroken, she is covering up for her mother.

  1. Jessica is taking the blame for something she didn’t do for what?! Let me guess, Jessica always takes the blame for everything her mom and dad does?! Does she take the blame for Tony dumping her because of her meddling ass parents!?! I’m sorry for what happened to Daisy, but if that was Asslee’s dog, Asslee would have slapped Tina up!!! I hate to say this, but this should be a wake-up call to Jessica…she’s getting older, and she needs to stop being so dependant and needy for her parents! She can’t even count on them to watch her own dog! This is some sad shit!!!

  2. I think the squirrel and the coyote were working together. Does Jessica have a K&R policy on Daisy?

  3. so why all the drama? it’s horrible and sad that a coyote took Daisy, but even those of us who’ve never seen a coyote outside of the road runner cartoons, know that coyotes prey on small animals like Daisy. The dog is long gone, and I doubt Nick will get her another one.

  4. Of course they didn’t tell her and risk a meltdown. She was out earning money so they can live the lifestyle they live. She doesn’t work – mommy and daddy aren’t making money. So what if her dog was just grabbed by a coyote. The Simpson parents have their priorities. They come first.

  5. I’m glad you revealed what really happened cause I don’t despise JSimps as much now as I did before. I still think she’s an idiot but at least I know not to blame her for this dog incident. that dog was toast 30 seconds after that coyote took it. the end.

  6. Why did she twitter about it in the frickin first place????? Attention….well she’s getting that. Its a horrible loss and tragedy but you know some things should just remain private and no one would have ever known about this in the first place if she had told everyone!!! AHHHHH hollywood….oh and by the way does everyone know she has a show coming out…..hmmmmm…..

  7. your right, Janet, this story couldn’t get any sadder. It breaks my heart everytime I see a picture of Jessica and Daisy.

  8. Good heavens…it’s called the cycle of life people! Wild animals eat other animals. And if they are big enough…people. Two incidents happened to me recently while out on a run. Up on the path ahead of me I saw a squirrel eating something. As soon as he heard me coming toward him, he bolted leaving his meal behind. It was another squirrel. On the same path (another day) a coyote came out of the brush, heading in my direction. I stopped dead in my tracks. The coyote kept coming towards me so I raised my arms up and out to make myself look bigger. He backed off. Daisy never had a chance. Lesson learned, if you don’t want your animals eaten, don’t live in the hills.

  9. It’s not Jessica’s fault and she’s doing the right thing trying to find her baby. Her parents should have told her the truth immediately though.

What’s up with all the negativity towards Jessica with these commenters here?

  10. Right Ronnie,

Not only she lost a beloved dog, now people are telling her she is dumb for trying all she can to find it.
She is not bright but that doesn’t mean people have to add to her grief.

  11. The loss of a pet is hard enough on anyone. The Simpson Family did the right thing by not telling her while she was out of town. Getting news like that when you are miles away is horrible. I know,it happened to me. I wish my family would have waited.
Things will turn around,Jessica deserves some good luck in her life.

  12. She comes off as being soooo clingy and needy. Then the loose-moral airhead wonders why she can’t keep a man. Sure, she can catch a man (for a short sex fling), but she can’t keep him. Her reputation precedes her, that’s for sure. The best advice for her to to get another dog, keep close watch on it, do some serious soul-searching and take a break from men for a while. While she is at it, a medical check for STD’s wouldn’t hurt.

  13. This is really tragic. Say what you will about Jessica, it was always apparent that she truly loved that dog. She wasn’t an absentee owner ala the Paris Hiltons of the celebrity world. I like JS, but unfortunately because of the way her manager/dad has pimped her out, a lot of her pub is negative and kind of makes people not think so highly of her; however I really think she is a decent if not misguided girl who simply has just lost one of the few beings in her life that loved her unconditionally. I’d be interested to know if Nick was allowed to reach out to her since he gave her the pup in the first place.

  14. The whole thing is just sad. People should not pick on Jessica because of the way she reacted. That dog was most likely her most important relationship she has ever had. Daisy loved her unconditionally.

  15. Cherokee Dawg: IMHO, if Nick Lachey ever reached out to her, then his jealous ho, Vanessa Manillo, would wait til he was asleep and chop it off. IT…OFF.

  16. My sincere condolences to Jessica for the loss of her beloved pet, Daisy. This incident will stay with her forever. So very sad.
