tomkatcut_041907_07.jpgTom Cruise is still smarting from the snub New York Mayor Bloomberg gave him when the mayor declined to honor Cruise for his contributions to what is called the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project. 780 ailing Trade Center rescue workers have already undergone the “purification” treatment that involves megadoses of vitamins and hours in the sauna. The “Project” is a front for Scientology and the mayor felt they had nothing to do with legitimate science. Tom was in New York Thursday for a fund raiser for this group and tickets sold for $6,250 apiece. Just WHO attended the benefit is not known yet, because press was not invited. (We’re guessing wealthy Scientologists.) But the city of New York supposedly donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the organization before they realized what it was. Neither the NYPD or the FDNY supports the group but Tom insists his organization has proved that “recovery for the afflicted Ground Zero workers is possible.” And recruitment to Scientology is possible too!

Good for the mayor. Why should this guy with a God-complex receive any awards simply for trying to drag more people into his money-sucking cult?

As off the wall as this may sound. What’s the harm in taking vitamins and sweating out old nasty dead skin from your pores.
Whomever showed up for that I sure hope they brought their own shower shoes. No doubt the NYFD are probably well bathed, but the NYPD… Wonder when the last time some of those characters took a bath or had a vitamin.

    What exactly is Scientology?

There is nothing wrong with vitamins, saunas and exercise. But to the cult’s way of thinking, these can replace medicines. They actually told some of the firefighters and police officers to not use their meds like asthma inhalers and stuff. That is dangerous.
They advised the mother of a schizophrenic son to treat him with vitamins. He, in his deluded state, thought she was poisening him and stabbed her 77 times. He is now getting anti-psychotic meds and was found not guilty by reason of mental defect. He is locked up in a state hospital.
Scieno distanced itself from the whole thing and continues to believe psychological drugs and psychiatrics are bad, evil and should not be used.
Their beliefs are dangerous. Educate yourself by reading about them.

I am proud of the mayor for rejecting Tom and his evil empire! Reject this satan…
Seriously, this is a cult and they will do anything to recruit more people. I had a friend who joined and he is alot worse off because of them. Thankfully he quit!

MJy Dears. In my day a 5ft6 man would not have been an actor but a circus act.Give this tiny man a tin cup and a leash and let him collect pennies from his fellow brain washed pack of fools.I just have to wonder why that tall hunched over looking woman is with him?If its for money than that makes her nothing more than a cheap common whore.Vile 2 these are.I only hope and pray their poor baby escapes that life of hell she will be put thru by her rather insane short father.

    Good for Mayor Bloomberg!
Maybe others will follow his lead and send Tom packing.
People are so quick to embrace these goofball celebrities and their “causes,” which are usually just ploys to get more publicity.

Anyone who thinks that vitamins and sweating out toxins is a bad thing is an idiot! People are just too scared of anything not “the norm”. And people like to believe whatever makes them feel better. Guaranteed the people who are posting negative comments on this site have never even read something about Scientology from an actual Scientology book. They don’t want to even check it out to see if what they are reading is false or true. Which in my opinion makes them cowards with no integrity!

There’s nothing wrong with a sauna or vitamins but anyone can do this, why do you need scientology for this “miracle” treatment. Why is the city donating money to a “cause” before they know what the heck they are donating to? I think Cruise is trying to rehabilitate his reputation which is in the toilet.

lets talk bottom line. $cientology is a business whose goal is to make money irregardless of how or where it comes from. they are asshole opportunists who are looking to make money- $6 grand for dinner? and new cult members. $cientology is banned in most of europe…they are lying a$$holes.
    read about it for yourself…

“emily”, i see that you have your $cientology lingo down.
yeah, there are chapters and chapters written by Rubber Hubber about how to treat SP’s, or suppressives. you have no idea what the word, Integrity means. There is no integrity in lying to the general public about the fake Detox Project and other groups that are a front for $cientology. If there was any integrity there, they would not have accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars under false pretenses.
    lying losers.
greedy a$$holes who seek to benefit from the suffering of others.

Tom can’t help that he is short, but he could get a frigging clue! He is really getting weirder by the day. We all knew he is in a money grubbing cult, but for him to actually go to NYC and to think even for a second that Mayor Bloomberg would seriously consider his bizzaro cult beliefs…….

I take vitamins every day and have a Finnish sauna once a week, but I don’t use it as a cure for anything that might ail me! When I’m sick I go to a doctor, not a Scientologist.

tom lives in a rented beverly hills mansion which he shares with katie, baby suri, tom’s mother, tom’s two children adopted with nicole. tom’s two sisters and their children, toms cousin.
katie just got married and had a baby, and already is living with her mother in law? katie is lucky that she married the “messiah” of the evil cult of $cientology, because most of the cult discourages having chidren and has most of the regulars have abortions under a great deal of pressure.

Scientology is against medicne, and thinks that there is some big conspiracy with the AMA or Americam Medical Association.
what they replace science with is the belief that any ailments or illnesses a person has can be healed by paying $Sientology to run though a series of auditing sessions ..Costing in the hundreds of thousands…(nothing is free in this cult…it is there to make the most money possible while making little to absolutely no promises as to how the treatments might actually work…… it is all a lie.
having a cult which insists that anyone taking medication prescribed by a doctor.,,completely quit the medications and use the vitamin and sauna as a means t o cure everything is not only ignorant, but terribly cruel. there are a lot of stories out there written by people who have been down this particular road. is one place to start.
$cientology is about greed and nothing else.

Some of the posts here really are so much over the edge it is ridiculous, one claimed that the Church of Scientology is banned in most of Europe, such an ignorance. On the contrary the Church is officially recognized in Sweden, Hungary and some other countries. Just recently the Church of Scientology won a case in the European Court for Human Rights which stated clearly that Scientology is

Scientology is a money making brainwashing cult about a fairy tale that should be stopped as it harms peoples lives. True.
If only people had realized the same thing about Christianity back in Rome…. we’d have millions of living witches, quite a few less bloody atrocities and wars and the Vatican wouldn’t have stolen half the worlds wealth and kid’s wouldn’t be coerced into a religion by threat of everlasting burning at 4 years of age.
Silly humans! Myths are for kids!

One of America’s Sweethearts is battling a serious drug addiction- not hers, but her best friend’s. Through the years these two have been stuck to one another like white on rice and her fame rubbed off on her pal. They’ve been roomies, have worked together on set, and even launched a business venture together. But all that success has come with a price. After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
