US WEEKLY THINKS JENNIFER ANISTON IS TURNING INTO DORIS DAY

Us Weekly is picking on Jennifer Aniston again. They insist she requested to have her close-ups retouched in her movie coming out in August, “The Switch.” They say she’s terrified of ageing and as a consequence she has a grueling exercise regimen and is always on a starvation diet. NEWSFLASH: what actress in Hollywood DOESN’T want to look youthful and employable as long as possible? Jennifer does a great job of maintaining her looks and she can’t help it if the only job offers she gets are for romantic comedies. Back in the 60’s, Doris Day was in the same “romantic comedy” rut and her movie close-ups were soft and blurry so she wouldn’t look her age. We think Jennifer’s perfectly normal and wonder why magazines want to make her appear to be love-starved and despondent about her looks.

Blimey, has she had a chin implant?

In her heyday, Doris Day had a much prettier face than Jennifer. In fact, Jennifer, at certain camera angles, looks rather plain.

JANET, my eyes are getting crossed from trying to avoid all the damn constant pop-ups. Do these advertisers actually think someone is going to look at them.

Doris was and always will be a doll, and her singing voice is lovely and unique, instantly recognisible. There is no comparison between the two women. Jen doesn’t sing. Jen IS lovely however and has her own charms, and I never have bought that she for a minute freaks about aging,OR panics about having a man or not. She seems completely happy to me. I just wish she’d quit tanning as it’s dangerous to her skin. She may be sorry in a few years when it ages her prematurely or she may even have medical issues from it. Hope not tho. I like her personality and think she’s a pretty good actress. Wish she’s get some more demanding roles tho.

I loved Doris Day – “Pillow Talk”, “That Touch of Mink”, etc. JA might be typecast, but who cares? She certainly is more likable than that blood-vial wearing vampiress who stole her husband.

Doris and Jen – you gals rock!

Don’t insult Doris Day with this hacktress!
Doris had a fantastic voice. Lovely and charming in her films. I loved the way she carried herself. Sigh. Women like this rarely exist in Hollywood nowadays.

I personally don’t like Aniston, she bugs the hell out of me, but she’s not the only actress concerned about her looks. It’s part of her job to look good and youthful. I don’t think Hollywood is forgiving to those who age. I think women actors in general are pressured to look 20.

I love Doris Day movies. I like Aniston, but have no interest in seeing her movies. They look all the same.

If an actor has a limited range, that’s what they’ll be offered, and be good at it.

There something that screams desperate to me regarding Jennifer Anniston. She keeps making bad movies. Why doesn’t she sit back and enjoy her money or get into producing instead of acting. Plus the comparison to Doris Day is unwarranted. Doris Day was a talented actor yet had a very complicated personal life.

She knows that the only thing worse than making lame movies is “sitting back” and taking a break. She’s in the final years of her prime, and she’s not going to disappear. One of her key selling properties is her fantastic bod. So she stresses about it. I stress about mine too, and I’m a cow in comparison. Women have stressed about their appearance for time immemorial.

Is Jennifer Aniston really only offered rom-com style movies or are they the only ones she takes cause she knows women will come see them? She seems A-list enough to be able to pick and choose projects, plus she has (or used to, Plan B)a production company that can develop projects for her. I would be surprised if these insipid movies are the only ones offered to her, but what do I know…

Man troubles, always man troubles, leading man troubles, break-ups, on to the next one, break-ups, it never ends.

    Beachy,

I think everyone has gotten over the fact that the “blood-vial wearing vampiress” aka Angelina Jolie “stole” Brad from Jennifer. Have you ever heard the saying that, nobody can break up a happy marriage. I think Angie has redeemed herself by all of her humanitarian efforts. I think 6 children and five years of being committed to each other speaks for itself. Jennifer was in my opinion, just as responsible for the break up of her marriage. She obviously was not satisfying Brad in a way that he was needing. Afterall he has stated on numerous occasions that Angelina is the LOVE OF HIS LIFE!! Time to move on Beachy, move on!!

Jennifer Aniston takes very good care of herself because it’s her job. You always hear about celebs dying hair a diff color, losing weight, gaining weight (i.e. Bridget Jones) for a role, so what’s the big deal about Ms. Aniston doing it so well? Loved her in Derailed and would love to see more dramatic roles such as The Good Girl and Derailed. Even Doris Day did a variety of roles although the Rock Hudson films seem to be what is most lasting in her film career. Thank goodness my income isn’t based on my outward appearance! Can’t come easy to look so naturaly fit and beautiful.

Really, what happened to her chin? It looks bigger than ever and sticks out and I think she is aware of this, because she tries to cover it with her hair hanging on either side.

I think she has mostly gotten over Brad. But, female human nature being what it is, I still think she is mad as hell about being dumped. I bet she wishes she had had 2 or 3 kids with him and then there would always be a connection if in fact he left her after she spit out two. Then he would maybe want to have visitation rights, which would make Angelina jealous…and that’s just the way females are….the law of the jungle thing.

The “chin” deal is only that particular pose she got snapped in. Nothing more. She hasn’t “done something” to it.
