We wonder if readers of People magazine will be turned OFF by their cover story and interview with the overhyped Paris Hilton. People was set to pay $300,000 for the photos and interview but there was such an outcry that the deal was called off and supposedly Paris did it for free. Hmmm. Personally, we were thrilled to see that Us Editor Janice Min is giving us just what we want- A PARIS-FREE ISSUE! And we love Us even more for leaking that back when everyone was waving money around trying to buy up Paris’s jailhouse story, they offered to make a big donation to her favorite charity instead of paying her, but Paris said no way- she wanted the moolah for HERSELF.
I’m not interested in the stories on the US cover, but I’ve decided to buy the magazine and cast my vote: NO MORE PARIS! NO MORE PARIS!!
Janice Min may appear to be a “hero” to you and many other readers of celebrity magazines, but she’s actually just a smart marketer. She saw the value in being the first to omit Paris coverage from her magazine, knowing that the reaction and press would be widespread and favorable and would attract readers from competing magazines to US. Min has nothing to lose as Paris has nothing to offer going forward. US magazine will be seen as a “hero” for going against the tide of the other publications. However, a real hero would have done this a long time ago and not contributed to Paris’s celebrity in the first place. Oh well, better late than never.
Janet, you should follow US’ example and stop writing about Paris.

actually Us is one of the main reasons a lot of these “no real talent” people are famous and the reason why a lot of stores like kitson have had so much success. Us is in cahoots with a lot of these parties so they can all make more money off the rest of us idiots.

Free.” And I’ll never watch the Larry King Show (didn’t very often anyway), since he decided to “interview” Paris. Wonder how much he paid for that honor? Gag me!

Hurray for Janice – I will buy it even if I just throw it out. And if that is a marketing ploy ,it is a good one. Evey week, they could skip someone – I vote next week Posh free. Then the next week, no Saint Angelina. And every week should be Cruise free.

I think the magazine would have been a more compelling purchase if they didnt put those dumb celebrity kid pics. I know there must be a bigger story out there than paris out of jail, they could have made up a story like they do anyways of how nicole is pregnant to avoid jail time.
if it didnt have those stupid kid pics I might have bought it even though us weekly made paris famous, just like they make so many talentless people famous.

I subscribe to PEOPLE magazine. Once I receive the issue with the Hollywood Ebola–Paris Hilton-on it,I will immediately mail it back to PEOPLE along with a letter expressing my disgust at their covergirl.
