For some inexplicable reason Anna Wintour wants us to think she has taken pity on Harvey Weinstein’s estranged wife Georgina Chapman and her fashion company Marchesa. Whatever her motivation, Wintour managed to land Chapman’s first interview since the Weinstein scandal changed Hollywood. And that IS a scoop – EXCEPT it featured Chapman in an absurdly (“poor little me!”) sympathetic light with not ONE word of “How could you NOT have known what he was up to?” Not even “Exactly WHAT attracted you to this man you married?” In exchange for the self-serving interview, Wintour coaxed Scarlett Johansson into wearing a Marchesa gown to the Gala. This is a hideous dress and I believe scarjo will be coming out of some closet in a few years. Hopefully that closet will have better dresses in it.

But if we are really fair, why should Marchesa pay for Weinstein’s actions? Have Clooney, Streep, Affleck, Damon?
They allegedly knew, but Georgina didn’t seem to have any idea.
Should a wife go to jail because her husband committed a crime she had no knowledge of? She filed for divorce immediately.
