WE DON’T AGREE WITH THE JUDGES ON “LAUNCH MY LINE”

We were deeply disappointed when our friend Merle Ginsberg didn’t win on “Launch My Line” tonight. We thought her clever collection was a sure thing, but the judges didn’t agree. The AUDIENCE did agree, however. Merle got the Audience Favorite Award, which unfortunately was not televised. Interestingly enough, Merle was the only contestant who was NOT told her line had been DROPPED, so the door is still open a crack…..

  1. When an old cougar like Sharon exposes her tits, she is just crying out for attention. (And she full well knows her tit is about to pop out and pretending all the while she is not aware of it).

  2. Who gives a shit about Sharon’s saggy tits? I am soooo dissappointed that Merle didn’t “win” too. Her collection was the ONLY one that blew me away with it’s beauty and originality! And her evening gown was truly one of the prettiest ones I have EVER seen! I have already forgotten the winner’s looks and can only remember there was a yellow one and a big billowy multi-colored evening dress that looked like a bedspread.

I voted Merle all the way thru!!

  3. I totally agree, Reta! Merle was easily the most talented designer on the program. The girl that “won” would just drape a square of fabric on someone, put a clasp on the middle, and put some twisted rope on it somewhere — no design whatsoever, no discernible talent. If they couldn’t figure out how to mass-produce Merle’s designs, they should have just contracted with her to do a simpler line — which she would *still* be able to do, *and* make stylish.

  4. Why doesn’t Sharon just plop that boob out, it’s practically out now. Another one who can’t accept she is old and should have a little dignity.

  5. I hope someone really cool and outragous gets to wear Merle’s FANTASTIC &BRILLIANT evening gown on the red carpet for the Oscars!! I’m DYING to see it again!!! GO MERLE!!!!!!

  6. What a great picture! Merle looks beautiful and Sharon Stone looks really interested in what Merle has to say. Very cool, Janet!

I loved Merle’s designs. I thought she should win by a long shot. Her stuff was great, and everyone remembers that gorgeous evening gown.

  7. Janet, I don’t know whether you are aware of this, but on Project Runway, the producers “confer” with the judges and “assist” in the final selections. It is the reason I stopped watching the show.

I realize this is not the same show, but the same thing may be happening. Producers pushing judges toward the outcome they want does not help a show, IMO. I hope your friend achieves good success from her efforts on this show.
