WENTWORTH MILLER CAME OUT AS A HERO

We’ve always had a crush on “Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller and it never mattered that he was gay. We’re not sure if it was common knowledge, but it wasn’t important. In 2007 we happened to bump into Wentworth at the Arclight Theater in Hollywood. We were giddy with excitement and remember that he looked very clean and smelled delicious. He was also very friendly and allowed Belissa Cohen to take the photo above. Six years later, the elegant and intelligent Wentworth picked the right time to come out – he was invited to appear at a Russian film festival and declined due to Russia’s anti-gay legislation.
Part of his letter was printed in The Advocate:
As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes,” Miller wrote in the letter, posted on GLAAD’s website. “However, as a gay man, I must decline.”
You’ve gotta love him.

I’m so sick of hearing all these people gettin praised because they came out. BFD!

To me, celebrating someone’s sexuality should be private and not plastered across websites/papers/mags for the world to see.

As far as a hero? No – he is not a hero! Captain Sullenberger is a hero. This guy is a homosexual actor. BIG FREAKIN’ DIFFERENCE!

Why is Janet dressed like a 13 year old boy …and not a well dressed one at that. Isn’t she like , 100?

Cool. It took guts and I like that he used coming out to draw attention to Russia’s discriminatory policies rather than just making a public pronouncement. Olympics aren’t forums for politics or making a case for division. They have always been about bringing the world together as one. Touche

Captain Sullenberger is a hero? He landed a plane he is paid and trained to do. It’s his JOB!

Well Hello, you make a valid point as there are two ways to interpret Wentworth’s actions, but the view from the gutter doesn’t cut it for most people.

this was a surprise? Anyone with a brain could look at this guy and know he is gay. No surprise here.
