WEST OF MEMPHIS TAKES A CLOSE LOOK AT THE ARKANSAS JUSTICE SYSTEM

Peter “Lord of the Rings” Jackson produced the new documentary ”West of Memphis” that chronicles the trial, murder conviction, and release of the “West Memphis Three” seventeen years later. A trio of documentaries, “Paradise Lost,” produced by HBO starting in the 90’s attracted interest to the Arkansas injustice and Johnny Depp and other celebrities brought attention to the case. Three teenagers were convicted of murdering 3 children with no physical evidence. Seventeen years later they are free, thanks to DNA evidence. This film – described as “astonishing”- tells the story of the inept police force and corrupt legal system that robbed these men of years of their lives. The saddest part is that they never found out who killed those kids.

The most astonishing part of this debacle is it started with the idea three teens could pull off a triple murder without leaving evidence, and continued until they were freed.
How and why did so many people allow themselves to be duped, and for so long?

wow, are they barking up the wrong tree….did you know the State of Mississippi voted to keep the Confederate flag as part of their state flag? Nothing is going to change there for a long time.

Those three boys did it. This documentary is slanted in their favor. They all pleaded guilty. Damien Echols is a psychopath. Get your facts straight. It’s bullshit!

Not true..The state held back the fact they had found one of the boys stepfather’s DNA on his shoelace..they had zero evidence to link the men they arrested..

    |

    BLIND_ITEM_NEW_#CUT

One of America’s Sweethearts is battling a serious drug addiction- not hers, but her best friend’s. Through the years these two have been stuck to one another like white on rice and her fame rubbed off on her pal. They’ve been roomies, have worked together on set, and even launched a business venture together. But all that success has come with a price. After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
