It really IS a small world. Katy Perry has a close “nine degrees of separation” connection to Joan Crawford. Katy’s evangelist mother’s aunt and uncle were successful Hollywood director Frank Perry and his screenwriter wife Eleanor Perry. Frank Perry directed the classic movie “Mommie Dearest” – the Joan Crawford story starring Faye Dunaway. Frank Perry died years before Katy’s career started to rise so he never was able to pull any strings for her.

Joan sported some scary brows in her day. They had that “don’t screw with me” & “oh really?” look. For all it’s worth, Joan was a good actress with strong personality.
I agree with you yoyo, Joan was a great actress in her day. My Mom and I used to watch all of the old black and white late movies. Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Bogey, and James Cagney just to name a few, were some of our favorites. Oh, the good old days!

Joan Jett is much closer to Joan C. than Katy. Joan J’s appetite for females is just as ravenous but she will take a pass on males. Katy Perry in her bed would suit her to a tee.

But times where harder for woman in her time and she is the front runner of breaking woman into the Business and….Well Katy Perry has picked up! Where things are left off and going throw some of the old fashion ideas with a new twist of life that takes it to another Level?

Regarding the above photo of Joan Crawford, that’s the ugly hairstyle I’ve ever seen. She looks demented with those blackened eyebrows and too short bangs.
Joan was a hard core bitch but she had to be to make it in those days and woman where not treated well and where not respected back then and she rocked it out and did what she needed to do to make it easyer for woman of today to have a better life and massive men from all over the world loved her and… She was a Big Star Back then and really reached toward breaking throw this hard ass world and really pushed it to a level that makes woman strong today and yes it is all about old fashion style and grace.
