Okay, so Britney upped the ratings on “How I Met Your Mother” and she seemed to do a decent job of acting. BUT we’re hearing that the whole episode was aggravating for everyone on the set. An insider on the show revealed that Britney’s cameo caused havoc. The usually peaceful set was invaded by bodyguards stationed everywhere, detaining all who entered. Everyone on the set, -crew, extras etc – even the actors- were expected to wear WRISTBANDS for access to their own show! (It didn’t set well with the show’s stars.) Photographers were perched on roofs, in the parking structure, and surrounded the set. Helicopters buzzed overhead. Most of the actors on the show never even met Britney because she was always surrounded by beefy security. They heaved a sigh of relief when she left. Anyone seeking to hire Britney has to factor in this stressful chaos and upheaval that follows wherever she goes. Is it worth it?
The question is why? She hasn’t made any good music, barely can act and can’t dance anymore. What’s the appeal? Other than the paps are waiting for her to show her priviates or drop dead in front of them.
It has been reported on 4 TV stations and in papers that she draws approx. $750,000 monthly. How and why? She has no voice; I saw her TV special a while back; it sucked. Any other sit-com that is flirting with the idea of her making a guest appearance should fuggedaboudit; take heed to Janet’s story. I’m so sick of Brit, Brit, Brit. Enuff.
Other reputable sources state she came to the set with her father, mother and one body guard. Don’t exaggerate.

Perhaps it is crazy this little girl got so famous in the first place, but the reason that she needs such extreme protection is media and Hollywood made her so famous she truly does need protection just to keep her alive. Maybe its not so great to keep her alive for fans or magazine consumption stake, but she has kids and they want an alive mother, sick or well.
4:45 p.m.: I agree Brit can’t sing or act, but she’s a performer. She’s an amazing performer. On stage she is spectacular. THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT BRIT. There is no denying it.
Her career may have dwindled, but the pubic is clearly fascinated with her. That’s why people like Janet have to talk about her. That’s why photogs stalk her because her pictures are worth a lot.
Her money is made off her fragrances plus other music royalties. She’s not as dumb as people think she is. That’s why she does nothing and still rakes in the dough!

Yes – in the case of HIMYM that particular episode brought in the biggest number of viewers the show has ever had.
I don’t see other programmes turning her down if she asks to appear on them. Britney maybe a trainwreck but let’s face it people are fascinated by her.
Whine whine.. she helped us up the ratings so we could keep buying our bread and butter and pay the rent.. but whine whine.. she was a bother.. we had so many new viewers take a peek at the show.. but.. oh such a bother.. whine whine
Britney is a great performer, there was a detractor above who mentioned her last performance but what about all her other performances (I would exclude the one with madonna) she was dynamic. And for the most part britney seems to be a genuinely nice person too. You NEVER hear about her dissing any other celebrities like some of these other young starlets or mini divas. I guess some people are easily influenced by the media.
Granted, we are fascinated by her and it seems never-ending. However, my main horror about her was when shortly after she and K-Fed broke up, she went out night after night after night after night, not staying home one night with the babies. This was absolutely documented. That was unbelievable. Instead of staying in her mansion with a multitude of things to do, she chose to rarely see them in lieu of clubbing. And of course there is the no-panty time.
I think when some women go through a difficult split we act out. some women might sleep around others might party excessively to forget about the drama of it all. yes, she’s a parent and she should have stayed at home with the kids but I am sure she has enough money to hire a nanny. there has never been reports that those children were left alone.
She did not want to stay home and play with them and bond with them. Big diff.

I agree mostly with Nanny 911 of 7:54 AM. I might add this was not just clubbing;…..this was clubbing for many nights in a row plus alcohol & some drugs. She could have been killed; many weirdo pervs go to these clubs. Granted she needed to get away awhile and party, but not to this degree. Everyone saw pics the paps got of her coming out stoned/drunk. She could have had a ‘party’ with food and maybe wine at her mansion, a few close friends, and shown off the 2 boys; not at the filthy drug infested places she was going. We have all done stupid things, so I pray this is all behind her.
She Sucks. Always has. I have never been “intrigued” by her – just intrigued that the public has such low standards for entertainment like hers.

First off, I am not fascinated by Britney. I respect her, and her talent. Unfortunately, a family was caught in the middle of her discovery that she is not perfect. So, of course, let’s take pictures of her every second of every day, call her any number of names we can, and discount the talent that brought her here. Oh! Wait! That’s right, she has no talent. That’s probably why everyone has a career like hers. Get over y’self ya hating pigs, and clean ya own homes afore ya shit in someone else’s. BIATCH!
