But, in all honesty, I’d rather spend the rest of my day doing pretty much anything else. 🙂 Strom, get a life. I saw this video for the first time today. I immediately thought of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, hypermobile type. Me & my two children also have this collagen disorder, basically the glue that holds the body together. If they had early dance and contortion training and practice constantly like the Chinese method, I could see them doing this without EDS, but I am assuming that sort of training wasn’t widely available back then.
I decided to look for information about them to see how their joints held up. I am just past 40 (though not diagnosed until 39) & have constant pain. Thankfully, my teenagers can have the opportunity to try to protect theirs.
Also, I read earlier re a misunderstanding about EDS, it is NOT any sort of mental disorder. How that misunderstanding came about, I do not know. It is merely a genetic flaw in the collagen. We are normal people who just happen to have, what most people call, double jointed. Some of us have a type of vascular EDS which is usually fatal by 40-50 yrs of age. There are another of different types, most non fatal, but because of our faulty “glue”, we can have a LOT of symptoms that don’t seem related. However, there is no mental disease or disorder involved.

I too loved the only film clip ever made of the Ross Sisters and did a lot of research. This was during the hey day of “My Space.” I found Dixie’s grand daughter. I chatted with her personally. She said this was the only film EVER made of them as they only performed in Vaudeville stage acts. The grand daughter is in show biz too in England where she lives. The became separated as each married a man from a different country. Dixie died of lung cancer per the grand daughter. Munch report about them here is true and some is not. You will have to judge for yourself. But I surly love them for their beauty, talent and energy !!
In the scheme of things, they just aren’t that important…no more so than Rin Tin Tin or Lassie.

Diana Ross has successfully parlayed her life-long career into a quarter billion dollar fortune, 11 Emmy nominations and an Emmy lifetime achievement award, an Oscar nomination, and is an elected member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is a Kennedy Centers honoree, all while raising her four healthy, well-adjusted, terrifically talented and well-liked children. Indeed, at 71 years of age, qualifying as elderly by most standards, including yours, Diana Ross, is not the least bit ‘toady’ as you have suggested. Your critical comments are meaningless. You are not featured on IMDB nor do you have a Wikapaedia page devoted to you. You have not been honored by your peers nor have you been recognized by the Kennedy Center. Taking a bit of a risk here, But, i suspect your networth is considerably lower that of Disna Ross. As soon as you can match her credentials, I urge you to speak critically about your rise from public housing to the pinnacle of entertain success.
