WHITNEY CUMMINGS AND PETER BERG COULD BOTH USE SOME CHEERING UP

Actor/director Peter Berg, 51, seems to be consoling his girlfriend, comic Whitney Cummings, 30, on the street in the East Village. We didn’t realize that Whitney is 5’11” – nearly as tall as Peter. Whitney had a tough year – her “Whitney” sitcom was cancelled by NBC, and her talk show on “E!” was also cancelled. Of course Peter doesn’t really have a lot to celebrate either – his last directing job was “Battleship.” But they seem happy with each other.

  1. Who are these people? Battleship is nothing to be proud of.

  2. Whitney is one if the geniuses behind the show Two Broke Girls. I’m no prude, but that show is pure filth. Sexual innuendos in every line. Do we really need that? No wonder she’s such a failure. She deserves it.

  3. Lol…his salary from Battleship a will prob last him 10 yrs…he doesn’t seem like a high maintenance kinda guy.

  4. Time to make a confession. When Peter Berg ran around in his drawls in Copland, I almost died. Love him.
Yes, I know he’s not conventionally handsome, but to me he is lovely and talented. And Battleship was an excellent flick.

  5. If these 2 are Hollywood big names, then there are chances for all of us. Ive seen better looking homeless people….

  6. I used to go to a place to eat in the old days and he was the waiter that would wait on me. He went to a very expensive liberal school in the area. He wasn’t what you would call handsome but he had that certain something that made you look twice or three times. I always left him a good tip even though I was a young single mother. I couldn’t figure out how I knew him when he was on Chicago Hope and then it hit me! So yep, I’m still a fan.

  7. Good for them. I don’t care for her brand of humor, but at least she’s done something with her life. I also don’t like Two Broke Girls, but again, she put herself out there and tried. They’re a nice couple. Peter Berg is handsome, I’m not sure why anyone would think otherwise. His directorial outings are nothing to write home about — he should stick to acting.
