Newly single Ashley Greene is in trouble for tinting her windows – not in her car – but the condo she rents in a historic West Hollywood building! Ashley craved more privacy so she tinted her windows without getting permission from the homeowners association. That’s forbidden because now they don’t match the rest of the building. (Is she afraid of the paps or her exboyfriend looking in the window?) She appealed to the association to keep the tints, but was told other celebrities managed to live in the building without tinted windows, and she could too. She had no choice but to hang thick drapes for privacy.

The police dept in my small town says that apt building don’t allow tinted window products put up because it is one sign of drug manufacturing. They will tint or darken the windows, cover then with foil, so that high powered lights can be used inside to grow weed and the lights can’t be seen from outside then. This is the reason given where I live and all apts have to have a uniform look. You can put up curtains on the inside, but not where they show to others.
She is totally ridiculous. Even extreme CAR tinting is ridiculous. They only do it to call MORE attention to themselves!
Has she ever heard of curtains? Or shutters? Or blinds?
The nerve of some people. To move into an historic building and then try to act like the rules don’t apply to you.

Tinted windows are effective in blocking view from outside while they still allow for sunlight to enter, something curtains or shutters can’t provide.
