WHO WOULD YOU RATHER TAKE ADVICE FROM? IVANA TRUMP OR DEBBIE REYNOLDS?

Nobody seemed to pay attention when Ivana Trump quietly gave up the advice column, “Ask Ivana,” she had been writing for the Globe tabloid for fifteen years. (Could it have anything to do with that foul-mouthed airline tantrum that got her booted from a Delta flight?) Hollywood publicist Edward Lozzi immediately pitched his client, Debbie Reynolds, for the job and Globe jumped at the chance to hire Debbie – for MORE money than they paid Ivana. (Estimated in the high five figures) Debbie actually writes her own answers to readers seeking advice, and mail has increased. Hard-working Debbie’s been performing her one woman show in England and still managed to meet her weekly deadlines.

  1. I love Debbie! I also love how her now-closed museum in Vegas used to have a fake Rosebud sled on display as the real thing. I also recall a pair of replica Ruby Slippers sitting next to a vintage test pair of Ruby Slippers. The museum insisted both were authentic. The other costumes & props was definitely authentic but not these 2 items.

  2. I’d like advice from both, especially regarding the eternal battle of the sexes. It’d be interesting to see if they gave the same answers. Both are smart women and both have been around the block many times.

  3. The two of these ancients have managed in their lifetimes to completely eff up their own lives, so I don’t hardly see how EITHER of them have the audacity to give advice to others. Debbie has lost husbands and money and had trouble with her famous crazy daughter, and Ivana was married to a philandering husband and she was apparently the last person on the planet to know. Now she is married to a much younger man and THAT is failing too (DU-UH!). Gee, who’s PINKING these brilliant choices for “advice”???? They should be taken out behind the woodshed and SHOT!

  4. what is worse:
    – SITTING IN A WHELLCHAIR BECAUSE YOU’RE PARALISED…..
    – OR YOUR TWO LEGS BEEN CUT OF?

  5. I always liked Debbie – she may not know men or money, but she’s a spitfire and has seen a lot. I dunno that i’d take advice from either woman, but I’d be entertained to listen to their stories…

  6. Fifteen years is a long time to write a column, kudo to Ivana. Too bad the Donald didn’t listen to her about his sorry casino in Atlantic City – 3 times in bankruptcy.

Will there be a fourth ?

    Plus, Ivana marriage unwraveled.

What’s that gal do in retirement ? Garden

  7. Course, what happen to Debbies Casino’s as well.

Ivana is probably the wisest of the two, but certainly not the most lucky in terms of find a financier to build her a hotel in Las Vegas.

Hmmm… Wonder if she’s much a fan of Elvis ?

  8. Both have had many heartaches with men. Nah, I’ll solve my own problems

  9. Debbie will do well as an advisor. She has a terrific memory, learns fast, and has good judgement in all things in life – not true of a few of the men in her life, unfortunately. I am involved in a business that could benefit everyone on earth in 101 ways, if they only knew about it. Getting the word out successfully is my problem now. I would welcome her advice anytime.

  11. We both ADORE Ms. Reynolds and ADMIRE that she has IRISH roots/ancestry which, no doubt, provided much of her natural talent. Has she made any trips to Ireland to find her Irish ancestors? It was great to learn that she kept her Surname, unlike other stars who had completely changed their names. I’d take advice from her anytime based on her “grass roots” childhood, much unlike that of Ms. Trump. I recall my earliest knowledge as a pre-teen hearing about Eddie running off with Liz… I NEVER liked his singing after that!!
