WHY DIDN'T CHER SING THE DUET WITH TINA TURNER ON THE GRAMMYS?

Cher surprised us with her voluminous copper colored wig at the Grammys- she’s probably not as skinny as she’d like to be and that’s why the hair was so big. Even more surprising was her voluptuous goth silver taffeta tiered skirt and chain mail distressed top from 80’s designer Michael Schmidt. It wasn’t her greatest fashion moment, but you have to admit she looked more like a rockstar than most of the people at the Grammys. We just wish she had sung the duet with Tina Turner instead of Beyonce.

  1. Cher must be burning through the cash fast. She has to come out of ‘retirement’ yet again. What is it the third time Janet? I guess there is a bunch of cash just disappearing somewhere. Gerard, Art Chic could you please let us know what you guys think?

  2. She needs to hang it up, or just keep it in Vegas. This photo just screams Norma Desmond.

  3. Anybody think she looks like Kat Von D or whatever the heck that girls name is from L A Ink in this pix?

  4. Her face looks good but the dress looks like toxic waste! And yes, the music industry never respected her, so they don’t let her perform and she would’ve been better than no-talent BE-WEAVE!

  5. Amy is a talented singer. Cher was always more about being flamboyant and slutting around. I can’t even think of her last song. Oh, my grandma just informed me it was “Gypsies, tramps and thieves.” She would have been better? I think not.

  6. I think she looks great ! The dress however, maybe not so great ! I’d love to see her in a simple red gown. She’d look great in red, but NOT w/that wig. Total clash.

  7. If you think “Gypsies” was her last song then you lost the 90’s and the beginning of the 2000’s . She has had some big hits since then. Remember “do you believe in life after love”? Come into this decade and realize some of Cher’s biggest hits were not that long ago. She may be a diva but she’s a talented diva unlike Beyonce. Cher is the only singer who has had a #1 hit in the last 4 decades. Beyonce will never do that !!

  9. What can you say., but Midieval parachutist in a dive stunt gone terribly wrong?

  10. Sometimes I think Cher just goes for SHOCK AND AWE instead of real fashion, remember her mohawk Oscar disaster? And she’s a very underrated singer, has more range and power than you’d expect (if you’ve ever seen her live). Plus she’s recorded almost every style of pop music and done it well.

  11. Wasn’t Cher’s last hit computer engineered garbage that only the tone deaf gays went gaga over. You put her on a stage next to Beyonce and Bey will blow Cher’s poufy wig off since you want to talk about weaves darling.

  12. Absolutely it was computer engineered. They had to do it that way cause she couldn’t hit the notes. If I’m forced to choose between Cher and Beyonce, Beyonce gets my vote. Irreplacable is a good song. You better believe Cher will be lip synching alot at her new gig in Vegas.

  13. They added a vocoder sound to a few sections of “Believe” but the basic vocal performance was all Cher. You don’t think that Beyonce’s vocals are tweaked to the max? I doubt she’s ever sung a note live in her life! Cher’s got a stronger, distinctive voice; Beyonce’s vocals are colourless, they could be anyone’s. Her songs are all annoying! “Survivor” being the most puke-inducing, but “Bootylicious”, “No Boundaries” (that’s probably not the name of it) are all non-melodic crap, bereft of any lyrical meaning. She’s a sham getting by on her sex appeal and doesn’t deserve any Grammys. The girl has no interpretive skills either, Cher can sing anything and make you feel it! Longtime record buyer here (since Chubby Checker “The Twist”), so I know my shit.

  14. I needed those heavy duty grass bags this fall when I had tons of leaves in my yard. This outfit is surely a joke.

  15. I don’t think Cher does “Proud Mary”, that would be too painful. Better Beyonce who can shake it, than Cher.
Tina however was sounding a little breathy, too. Both she and Cher are hitting the geriatric walker phases of their advanced years.

  16. She has had so many face lifts she can hardly talk. She was interviewed today on E.T., and it was laughable the way her jowls were smoothed and stretched. You can bet there will be mostly lip synching in Vegas. With all the modern technology, they’ll make her look good.

  17. What the hell is wrong with you, Cher has had numberous hit and will keep on having them, Sounds like to me that you had your face stuffed up someones ass and never come out for a fresh breathe of air and see and here the real talent..
Cher is number one in my book!!! And will always keep on kick ass!!!!

  18. I bet she’s wearing one of her old silk stockings with a knot at the top under that wig!

  19. Her private life is pitiful. She shacked up with much younger men and prolly caught a disease. Two of the youngsters left her, played around, and she then took them back. She accepted Chastity’s lesbian lifestyle. Fags and lesbos will not enter the pearly gates unless they repent and turn to Christ. Go ahead and bash away, it’s the truth. Queers do not want to hear the truth.

  20. JANET: Saffron’s Grace should be banned along with the nefarious and probably closet homo Gerard Vanderburgh. It’s not Christian to bash others, particulary gay people who have no control over their sexuality. Why would someone choose to be gay in this world, it’s a disadvantage in every arena (with the possible exception of hair & makeup & choreography). Gay people are still bashed and beaten today, even in sophisticated cities like NYC, it happened to newscaster Jay DeDapper a couple of weeks ago, in the WEST VILLAGE, where he lives & pays taxes, and which has been a gay enclave for decades!

  21. Yes, Cher would have been a great improvment over Beyonce. And Tina and Cher did sing once before on the Cher show back in 1975.
Cher has and always will be a unique and special fixture in the entertainment world.
As Cher once said, when the end of the world comes, there will be two things that remain, Cher and cockroaches.
You go Cher and good luck in Vegas.
