At the core, Scientology is a huge tax dodge. All the Xenu nonsense is to catch the mentally unstable and lonely poor souls who make up the bulk of the cult. They give EVERYTHING to the culs and work for nothing. They are, of course, starved, isolated, brainwashed and abused. Scieno bigs tell followers who they can see and speak with, and it never allows anyone who can see the scam to get near its members. The top level (including celebrities) give huge sums to COS, presumably getting a big chunk of it back under the table. The rest is kept by the COS inner structure. Since the auditing sessions (you have to confess every bad thing you’ve ever done or thought) are recorded, they make a very handy source of blackmail fodder. All the money “donated” to COS is tax deductible. That means that millions and millions of dollars of tax revenue have to be made up by the rest of us. Scientology costs every one of us.
