WILL TOM CRUISE AND BRAD PITT AGREE TO COSTAR AGAIN?

Tom Cruise has agreed to play car designer Carroll Shelby in the racing movie “Go Like Hell” – it’s the story of the competition between the Ford Motor Company and Italian sports car designer Enzo Ferrari which peaked at the 1966 Le Mans race. Brad expressed interest in the project before Tom signed on. Brad’s last acting experience with Tom was in 1994 when they costarred in Anne Rice’s “Interview With The Vampire” (photo above) and Brad described it as a “miserable experience” but not necessarily because of Tom. Brad was quoted at the time as saying he and Tom were “like North pole and South pole” (opposites) and that Tom was “always coming at you with a handshake.” We remember writing that Tom requested a box to stand on so he’d look as tall as Brad in their scenes together. Pairing them up again after all these years could be QUITE interesting…

  1. They both reached 50 years of age at different places. Cruise is now 51 and is on his 3rd divorce and in a controversial court battle with In Touch and Life and Style and is battling to claim his box office numbers. When they made this movie he was a bigger star than Brad Pitt.

Today is Brad Pitt’s 50th birthday and he is married to Angelina Jolie, has 6 children, and lived to produce and star in the world wide box office smash $540 million gross on his World War Z movie after a lot of critics said this movie would bomb. He’s laughing all the way to the bank.

Interesting how life takes one’s career through different turns.

  2. I think Brad Pitt’s public image is one Tom Cruise wanted to create when he married Katie Holmes, successful actor and producer, happily married heterosexual male, father, etc. In 2006, Cruise purchased United Artists studio, a $35 million mansion in Beverly Hills, and was producing that movie that flopped Valkyrie. Things did not turn out the way he planned. Whether Brad Pitt is happy or not who knows, but his image projects he is content. After promoting Oblivion, Cruise went under the radar.

  3. I would love to see anything about the legendary Carroll Shelby, but I refuse to go see anything with the crazed scientologist Tiny Tim in it!

  4. IRONICALLY – Today, Dec 18th is Brad Pitt’s 50th birthday and Katie Holmes’ 35th birthday.

  5. he simply needs a straight human bing beside him.
THIS BECAUSE THE SCIENTOLOGY MOVEMENT IS BECOMING A STONE IN HIS SHOE(S).

  6. Imo Tom is better looking, better shape and a much better actor than former pretty boy Brad. In recent years Brad has had movie box office flops (The Counselor, Killing Them Softly, Tree of Life, Moneyball-although critical succees) and Tom has had some recent BO flops as well. So when you compare their career world-wide box office draw Pitt comes out at $4,962,821,981 and Tom is $6,040,146,148. Yeah Tom beats him. Although I will concede that Pitt is a much bigger tabloid celebrity.
