THE PAPARAZZI STILL LOVE MEL GIBSON

Looks like Mel Gibson is doomed to endure pesky paparazzi as long as he has a career in show business. It’s Mel’s own fault – he gets himself tangled up in outrageous situations that tabloids LOVE. Paparazzi are drawn to the temperamental actor/director, and he cannot resist making a huge fuss. Mel is not above making an angry scene in public, yelling at photographers, accusing them of stalking him. Sometimes he turns his smartphone camera on THEM, for some inexplicable reason. We think he should be flattered that the photogs still CARE about him…

Alec Baldwin Arrested Politics Temper, temper

THIS IS WHY ALEC BALDWIN SHOULD NEVER RUN FOR OFFICE

Every once in awhile, despite his wife’s soothing efforts, Alec Baldwin loses his temper in a big way – for a relatively small reason. It’s funny that Alec had a “family member” standing and holding a parking space in front of his NY building as he pulled up in a Cadillac. Of course one of those obnoxious NY drivers scooted into the space right in front of Alec and he couldn’t help popping the guy in the face as he fed the meter. Alec was arrested, and it’s not the first time. His wife Hilaria tries to calm him with meditation and breathing exercises, but Alec’s temper often prevails. A bad trait for a politician…

Halle Berry arrived alone at Craig’s for dinner and she has a serious look on her face. Is she meeting her lawyer inside? Is that big bag full of legal papers? Rumor has it she and Olivier Martinez are on the verge of divorce and could file any time now. Insiders say Halle can’t tolerate Olivier’s fiery temper – coincidentally or not, that has been the reason for nearly ALL of her splits.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived back in Los Angeles at LAX with all their kids and were greeted by the usual frenzy of fans and paparazzi. Laid back Brad rarely loses his temper, but he got mad at a pushy photographer who got too close to the family, and Brad gave him a shove with his carry-on bag.

EVERYBODY OUT OF THE WAY! HERE COMES HALLE BERRY!

Halle Berry and her family had barely touched down at LAX when the histrionics began. A police escort was waiting to walk them through the terminal to their car. Olivier Martinez warned the paparazzi and everyone else to keep their distance. Halle clutched little Maceo and threw a coat over Nahla’s head. Olivier was carrying a child’s car seat and when he thought a man got too close to his family, he whacked him with the seat! The man turned out to be an airport employee and he says he intends to press charges.

IS CHARLIZE THERON A SECOND GENERATION ENABLER?

Is Charlize Theron repeating her mother’s mistakes? When she was a young teenager in South Africa, Charlize’s alcoholic father came home drunk and angry one night and threatened the family. Charlize was watching when her mother Gerda shot him dead in self defense. Ironically, Sean Penn shares some of her father’s unpleasant traits. He’s a big drinker, and if you recall, he roughed up his then-wife Madonna during a Thanksgiving binge that ended their marriage. His second wife Robin Wright doesn’t have anything nice to say about him either. As for his TEMPER- he doesn’t keep that a secret. Many paparazzi are actually AFRAID of him. Hopefully Charlize will proceed with caution.

ALEC BALDWIN: DON’T GIVE UP – GET A GRIP!

We confess we are torn when it comes to Alec Baldwin. As a performer (such as in “Blue Jasmine”) he can be perfectly delightful. His off-camera antics provide fodder for endless gossip stories because he doesn’t know when to shut up. THAT we love. But then there’s his obnoxious elitist side. He’s on the cover of New York magazine boo-hooing about his lack of privacy. He whines dramatically that he’s even willing to give up show business and move away from New York if necessary for the “safety and peace of mind of his family.” But would he and his family really be happy if he retired and moved to the suburbs? Let’s face it, ALL of Alec’s problems stem from his lack of self- control – his temper. THAT will follow him everywhere.

RYAN GOSLING: DON’T MESS WITH MY EVA!

Ryan Gosling has been keeping his relationship with Eva Mendes WAY undercover. They even walk the red carpet separately when promoting their movie “The Place Beyond the Pines.” The pair met while making this movie in which they play lovers. So we were surprised when the New York Post reported that Ryan flew off the handle when a fashion photographer got “too familiar” with Eva. Ryan and Eva were outside the Bowery Hotel in New York when the photographer yelled “Hey, Baby!” to greet Eva. Outraged, Ryan charged up to the guy demanding “Who are you calling BABY? Eva stepped in and cooled them down and Ryan ended up shaking hands with the guy. But it’s apparent his feelings for Eva are highly combustible.

Lawsuit Obnoxious Behavior Obscenity Patti LaBelle Temper, temper

WHAT CAUSED PATTI LABELLE TO FLIP OUT?

We were horrified all over again when it was announced that Patti LaBelle paid $100,000 to settle that lawsuit accusing her of verbally attacking a pregnant mother and child in the lobby of the New York apartment where LaBelle was living at the time. It’s a strange story – apparently Patti became enraged when she noted an 18 month old child playing in the lobby of her building. She yelled obscenities, shouted the f-word, called the mother the c-word, and drenched her with a bottle of water! The mother grabbed her crying daughter and accused Patti of scaring her, and Patti’s entourage had to hold her back from lunging at the pair and pulled her into a waiting car! The mother’s lawyer figured Patti settled because the jury would favor the little girl and said the money will be donated to a children’s cancer charity. We’d love to hear Patti’s side of this story.

CHRIS BROWN WANTS US TO THINK HE’S GAY-FRIENDLY

Chris Brown is still desperately trying to prove he’s “Mr Nice Guy,” and he made a point of announcing his support of Frank Ocean, the singer who came out of the closet a few weeks ago. We just don’t buy it. In the past, Chris has been quick to hurl gay slurs when he gets riled up by someone, such as a photographer or a guy he’s playing ball with. He usually apologizes later, but his first impulses are generally homophobic. Considering his fierce temper, we bet he’s only gay-friendly when he’s in a really good mood.
