SNL OPENED OUR EYES ABOUT ELON MUSK

Elon Musk’s appearance on Saturday Night Live turned out to be quite a surprise. We weren’t familiar with his personality at all and found his South African accent and idiosyncrasies fascinating. He looked handsome- was well dressed, but appeared awkward and a bit uncomfortable before announcing that he had Asperger’s syndrome. THAT explained a lot. He made a distinct effort to communicate with the audience and was surprisingly unpretentious. Imagine a multibillionaire having fun dressing up in goofy costumes for skits on SNL! How could you not like him? Elon obviously tried to have a good time on the show and it made him a lot easier to like. Seeing him (above) with his girlfriend of two years, Grimes, really gets you wondering what they have in common. They partied fully masked until 6 AM at the SNL after-party.

  1. SNL hasn’t been funny in ages. But, I heard Elon hit it out of the park.

  2. Should be interesting to see investors dump their shares on Monday morning .

  3. Billionaire Musk took money and exposure away from who knows how many hard working comics who would have loved to do the SNL gig. All for his hyperbolically inflated ego. Disgusting man.

  4. Dan Dan, The ratings were way up with Musk. Just goes to show that other people can be funny too. Sounds like you are buying into class warfare.

No one ever got a job from a poor man.

  5. I have always liked Elon, but I find his attraction to very young girls troubling. At least Jeff bezos found an age appropriate plastic surgery chimp.

  6. Elon looks like the male version of Greta Thunberg, just an observation

  7. You don’t think logically. Musk GAVE no one a job on SNL. He took a job away from a more deserving person. Pay attention.

  8. Wow, that zoomed right over your head DD. He owns companies. He’s a self-made entrepreneurial success. A man with a mental handicap no less.

You need to get out more.

  9. Why do people hate rich people? There are so many privileged people who host SNL, wtf cares if Elon hosted it, he didn’t take anyone else’s job, the job was offered to him and nobody else, get over it! You can’t take something from someone that it was never given to, the ratings were way up, it’s a win fir snl and Elon. The show is generally lame and not very funny anyway, it’s some wack humor, once in awhile it might be okay.

  10. Dan Lipps is perpetually miserable. What a sad, mean, hateful person.

  11. 1. SNL hires a host for each show.

    2. For the May 8 show, they hired Elon Musk, billionaire and non-comedian.

    3. Therefore, no comedian was paid to host the May 8 show. The pay a comedian would have received was paid to Elon Musk, billionaire and non-comedian.

    4. Therefore, billionaire non-comedian Elon Musk took money and exposure away from a comedian.

  12. Dan Dan, your logic is skewed, please tell me the other comedians snl was considering that night? There was no one but Elon that they wanted. Why are you being so unnecessarily irrational? I get what you are saying but there’s really no case fir it, it’s done and over with and nobody cares, time for you to find a new bone to hold on to.

  13. Cheerio,

You don’t know anything about me. I could be on the Asperger’s Spectrum and suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. How DARE you disparage the perfectly flawless logic of the differently abled! Or I could be a stand-up comedian who knows that Musk initiated the contact with SNL and is a greedy pig, climbing over the hard working little guy to pump up his already out of control narcissism. Either way, you need to take some classes in compassion. And logic.

  14. Dan Dan, Elon Musk employs thousands of people. He was a guest host for one night. Does SNL employ thousands of people? You just do not get it…

  15. Light Brigade,

How many comedians does Musk employ?. As far as I can tell -1. And you are the one who just doesn’t “get it.” That Musk employs engineers and Canadian singers is irrelevant to the situation at hand.

  16. Tesla and it’s subsidiaries employ over 70,000. They are headquartered in the USA, not Canada. How you can be obsessed with one unknown comic and belittle a man that provides jobs and paychecks for 70,000 people speaks volumes. Whew!

  17. Light Brigade,,

It’s interesting to me that you didn’t get the Canadian singer reference. All the cool kids would have understood. Also, if you or anyone here was reading between the lines, it would be easy to figure out who I am and why I am angry this non-comedian billionaire got the SNL job. Well, easy for someone with a modicum of intelligence…

  18. Pick a comedian whom won’t offend you, Dan.
Give Lorne a call and set em up.
Lorne knows who you are because you post here.
    Right?

  19. Wow. Who knew you were one of the cool kids. You sure don’t sound like one. You sound like a whiner who seizes on one minute detail and completely misses the big picture. Otherwise known as a simpleton.
